This style is so close to my RL casual preferences. When not at work, I love jeans with plaid or tweed and some good boots. So when I found out that Muism made some plaid jackets… I had to have at least one of them.

Da Shape

Ever since the launch of Fleur’s new skin Allure and this photo being in the shop among other gorgeous work from fellow Allure afficionadas, people have been asking me if they can buy the shape I’m using for Allure.

Well, you cannot. It’s fast becoming my default shape, because she gives almost every skin a very cute and quirky look, and I’m not giving my look away. However, I did create this shape out of one of the shapes that I sell in my shop, Inès, and whereas the one in the photo is different, Allure looks great on Inès as well.

Inès and some other shapes, as well as my poses ( I should really add new ones * sighs* ) are for sale in Rue d’Antibes.

The hair is from Zerlinda (beta) who has a couple of cute styles out at PXL Creations, the earrings are from Viva La Glam (taken over by aliens by now?) and the breautiful hibiscus is from Eleonora Newell

Trick or Treat

Earlier today, I attended the Halloween party at Adam ‘n Eve’s. After SL finally decided not the be THE party pooper of the day and let DJ Swafette Firefly rez her dancing machine, the party broke loose in a whirlwind of awesome looking people. Sachi, thanks for throwing the party, and for the sale!

Fleur Allure: Back Details

So here is another one of the photos that I have been taking with the new Fleur skin. This photo is hardly touched. I have created the softness with in-world lighting and glow. Ok.. I retouched the buttocks, as they tend to look so edgy when you sit (and added the cast shadow)

But what this is about is not discussing photoshop techniques. It is to show you the details of the back of Allure. This skinline is fully hybrid, and showing more photorealism than previous Fleur skins. I think this back is so pretty, with the delicate spine and the shoulderblades so beautifully done. Oh, and did I mention I positively adore the dimples?

Allure will be available as of Sunday 19 October noon slt.

Fleur Allure

Been a busy bee over the past few days, taking photos of Fleur’s latest addition to their skin range: Allure. She’s quite different from Vivant. The body has more photorealism, the mouth has elements of the delicious Shouju skins and the over all skin is just more detailed.

A full review will follow sooner or later, for the next couple of days I’ll stick to posting some of the photos I made.

That Skirt……

Sachi Vixen has been my friend for a long time now, so I’m usually pretty up to date with the content that she creates for Adam ‘n Eve. I’ve seen her develop over time, her textures going from beautiful to OMG-that-is-awesome. And yet this gown was quite a surprise to me, because it is even better than that. Hand drawn, this gown has a depth to it that is unrivaled, the billowing of the skirt is amazing, and you just expect the broad pleads to unfold. This is the best silk satin I have ever laid my eyes on.

Now I am usually quite a critic when it is about the work that my friends make, but this is, well… to be honest it leaves me speechless. This is one of the most perfect gowns I have ever seen in SL.

On a side note, the skin is Persephone, also made by Sachi as well as the hair (swept away), which is my new favourite updo.

New Religion: Church of Luxe

Lo Jacobs used to have a shop called Luxe Brand, which closed down before I came to SL. I heard about Lo from various people who had been in world way longer than I am, but I never had some of her work in my inventory until earlier this year, when she sort of revived her old shop, Now she’s back with a new brand: Church of Luxe. Het new designs have more detail and more depth to the textures (and prim skirts and such, something that apparently Ms Jabobs previously avoided messing with, according to an interview that she did with Forseti Svarog, early 2006).

Anyway, out with the old, in with the new, I went over to Lo’s shop in Indigo and indulged myself with some of her new items.

From left to right: Cowboy (red), Genuine (blue), Jenna (Gold), Fairy (peach), Leopard (raspberry) & Sunday (strawberry). The designs are fresh, the textures crisp, the prims fit well. I like Lo being back in action.

Shai has been MIA for a large part of the summer, but she promised to make up for it and the first fall releases are actually more than just making up. I have missed her designs, and one of my best friends in SL too. Glad you are back Shai, writer’s block et all…

Look of the Pink Ribbon Month

October is breast cancer awareness month, symbolised by the well known pink ribbon. Breast cancer is still one of the major causes of death for women. Research and awareness are extremely important as it might be able to save lives. Show that you care, wear a pink ribbon, and if you can, donate some to your local cancer association.
