Green, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Anyusha Lilienthal from Ibizarre makes some pretty fine clothes lately. The other day I showed you the orange vest. This time I got creative with her Paloma knit dress. While it is perfectly cute on its own, I combined it with the green Xanadu leggings from Truth, the yellow patent belt from Fleur, which I dyed in a matching green anf the Mraz scarf from Decoy, tinted as well. The locket is from Yummy. I didn’t recolour however the brown billow boots from Maitreya.

The skin is Indie, from Dutch Touch, which I like for the creamy body and the sexy mouth and the hair with beanie is Babyhoney from Truth

On Saturday at 2 pm SLT Fleur will re-open and will present their new build and the latest aditions to their vast skin range and massive make up collection.

I couldn’t resist posting this photo of a new skin in the Shoujo range. Roslin and CJ have added a slightly darker skin tone to this range for which I’ll be them for ever grateful. I love the pale Lotus and Lily, but Azalea is about the perfect complexion for these skins as far as I’m concerned.

When I saw this pair of aubergine Sgt. Pepper trousers from TOSL, I immediately had this look in mind. It’s perfect with the blue military coat from Muism, which I have bought ages ago, but never really found good use for. The look gets completed with the black glam tank from Michami, the pink border fringe stole from Massimo, the black gloves from Fleur with the Everbloom ring from Paper Couture and ETD‘s blue Heather boots.

The hair is Exile‘s Kaori, in blizzard and the skin will be released later on Saturday (2pm slt, do not miss out on that!) and is the lastest addition to Fleur‘s Boutique skins: DNB Shoujo 6 in a slightly darker complexion (Azalea).

I spotted these feathers on an otherwise quite outrageous outfit (Raindraa) at Barerose, and I wanted them. Luckily everything in that place is so convenient that you can actually afford to buy a set for just a feather collar.

I mixed it with the jacket of Paper Couture’s Nightengale outfit (dyed in a rich burgundy to match the feathers) and added the cuffs of the Raindraa outfit as well. Then I hopped over to Maitreya to get Maiiki’s black strapless dress with that gorgeous black patent belt. I really hope GLAM wil be back soon, because everyone should have their metallic tintable tights (free) which are just perfect to wear with a festive little outfit like this. The shoes are among my fave, the Laques from Storm Schmooz. The jewelry is from Muse, Marguerite Peakock feather.

Luth is the sassy short hair style that I’m wearing, from Philotic Energy and the skin is Fleur‘s Allure China Femme Fatale 1.

I really start to believe that Samara Barzane and yours truly might be twins, separated at birth. We have the tendency to be working on similar blog posts at the same time, although we hardly ever discuss what we are doing. This time I saw Sam’s latest blog entry popping up in my feed, when I was composing my outfit, with the same vest, only I picked another colour. All in all it has become quite a different outfit then hers though.

Anyway, on to the goodies: The vest is from Ibizarre, and I am wearing the mudcake t-shirt from Truth with it (for the boys, but I like the colour). The jeans are the new school jeans made by Torrid for the Kari/Torrid/Starley/Zyrra project. I should have bought the fatpack of the Creamshop mufflers straight away, because by now I have bought almost all the separates, this being the orange. The old laced boots were the first I ever bought at Shiny Things. The necklace is Carollin from Luc, and so is the bangle from the Hardwood set. The cap is from Kari.

My hair is Harlow, the latest from Maitreya, and the skin is Celebrity in Sugar, from Chai.

I like these glasses that Antonia Marat made for Artilleri, because they give you the intelligent, somewhat serious look. It reflects my mood. Not feeling funny or witty, but rather pensive and serious. That’s what you get when someone is dissing a friend out of spite. It’s pettyful, and eventually what goes around, will come around, but I won’t get carried away by it.

That being said, the skirt is the latest from Dela, the lovely basic old school turtleneck is from CKSD, the thin Electro belt I picked up at Kyoot Army, the tights are from Sheer, the shoes are my beloved black Tuli Pumps from Shiny Things and the necklace is from Icon.

The hair, Tiana, is currently a bargain at ETD‘s ongoing sale, and the skin is a beta but already a masterpiece from PXL Creations. Not yet finished, but such an amazing level of detail already. I’ve witnessed the loving creation of every single layer on this skin and it’s going to be amazing and unique.

This weekend it snowed in my part of the world, winter wonderland images all around, but today it’s all gone again, and it’s dull November weather. To stick a bit to the feeling, I chose the Winter White military coat from Aoharu, and SySy‘s Diamond’s dress. Together with the silver Emme boots from Jaywalk it became a pretty pristine outfit. A touch of contrast was added with the tintable tights from GLAM (currently unavailable) as well as with the ML necklace and earrings from Icon.

The black yuruponi hair is the latest from Shop Seu and the skin is Pink, from Cake (skintone pearl)

Funny that this weekend one of SLsecrets was about veteran designers not getting any attention, because I feel that is true. Or at least, they’re are not always getting the attention that they deserve. I mentioned it in an interview that I did with Alta Moda last June, and I do try to give the designers that have paved the floor to SL fashion walhalla a platform as well. Especially if they have managed to still be on par with the current standards of SL fashion. Speaking of which, Nephilaine Protagonist from Pixeldolls has always been one of my favourite designers, and with her rez date mid 2003, I think you may say she’s… uhm… ancient? Her designs are not rusty at all though, and in my past 2 years blogging, I have more than once shared her designs with my readers.

I started this outfit with Pixeldolls‘ 2811 velvet long skirt and the dito top. It is a versatile and classy base for a number of outfits. Then I combined it with a lovely top from a relatively new designer, the gold Maitri jacket form Zaara. The jewelry is from the gold Florina collection from Shiny Things, who’s designer Fallingwater Cellardoor is also from 2003, and the gold ballet flats are from Armidi.

The hair is Nico in Autumn from Maitreya, and the skin is Innocense (soft ivory) from Pulse.

Sunday calls for a relaxed look and this shirt from Blaze is a perfect base. I believe it’s still available when you join the update group. I’m wearing it with the brown suede trousers from Celestial Studios and the gold glam tank from Michami, that I dyed in a matching brown. the boots are Melisande, from Jaywalk. Accesoires are the Mraz scarf form Decoy (sand, dyed) and the patent leather turquoise belt from Fleur (made a bit darker). The casual Chakra necklace and earrings are from Luc.

The skin is Alice, from Free Speerit and the hair is Zoey, the latest from Philotic Energy in honey.

ICING’s Sequined Starlet

ICING Sequined Starlet, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

I think I have about every piece that Miko Omegamu from ICING has in her shop. Maybe I missed one or two pieces, but I think I have pretty much the whole inventory covered. Yes, I’m a fan. And this sequined dress caught my eye for the season. What a perfect little cocktail dress. It has feathers, it has sequins, it has a fantastic butt hugging skirt and a delicious cleavage. What does a girl want more? Well, some stunning pearls, in this case the Margaux from Muse, some lovely satin gloves from Fleur (the white ones were a sim opening freebie and are not available in the shop, but do go for the other colours!) and some elegant high heels like Storm Schmooz’ Desir Noir (with matching seamed thigh highs). The clutch was a 2007 RFL special from Muse and is not available any longer.

The shape (shameless self promotion) is a work in progress and I really like how this voluptuous frame is coming along and how well it works with almost every skin in my inventory. I’m wearing it here with Jadzia Sol from The Abyss and the -excusez the pop language- absolutely friggin’awesome L$ 30 (no typo) No 37 hair from W&Y (oh, and that is for L$ 30 for 4 colours)

I liked yesterday’s red hair, but I toned it down a wee bit for today with Truth‘s Elizabeth in Pumkin/Seaspray and I couldn’t resist MMS Helsinki skin to go with it, especially this one (light, make up 6) with the lovely pastel rainbow eye shadow.

So that set the tone for today’s outfit. Pastel, feminine. I remembered I picked up the pink coat at Cachet some time ago, so that was an easy pick. I added contrast with the rich dark blue Nicole trousers from Dela and the pink scarf from Massimo. Blaze‘s pumps are the plum ones, but I coloured them to match the scarf better, and I did that as well with the lilac gloves from Fleur. The sole accesoire in this outfit is a huge emerald ring from Paper Couture, which was a special release for the Jewelry expo 2007 and I don’t think it is available any longer.

Odd how something can trigger an outfit. In this case it was a notification from Camilla Yosuke that she had new things out. I read it with half an eye and headed over.

Usually Insolence newness makes me go into shopping mode. But it was not new undies, In fact, Camilla has been expanding her Misty line with sets of cuffs and collars, which is not really my cup of tea, but hey, one has to think out of the box sometimes and do something different, and besides, if you don’t buy the special Tokon HUD (Xcite) that apparently makes the cuffs talk or something, they actually are pretty cute fashion accesories.

So I decided to wear the wrist cuffs together with the awsome Dionne catsuit, also from Insolence’s Misty and make myself presentable with the highland warrior kilt from EMO-tions. The boots are my trusted biker boots from Shiny things. I am wearing the rosary from Luc Fashion Jewelry, which is actually for the guys, but it can be shrunk to fit a women as well and the facial piercings are from Puncture. The skin is Fleur’s Vivant Biba2 in buff (re-opening November 28, 2008) and Aitui’s faded Vintage Hawaii tatoo and the hair is Truth‘s Renee in Cranberry, which I gave an extra hint of orange to make it an even bolder colour.

I saw this cute full prim faux fur from PureStyle on Uma the other day and it made me curious if it would fit me. Uma looks like a very slender avie to me, and it looks sweet on her, but would I face massive prim editing to make it work for me? No! I only turned the right upper arm upside down, because somehow I think that looks better. I made it a total grey outfit, which I really like in RL as well. Grey is classy, and this winter it’s totally back in vogue too. The blouse (top and undershirt on the same layer) is Itaparica from Persona, as are the earrings. The pants are from Veschi, from the Jersey Girl outfit and the shoes are from ::69:: as is the J.Lo hair. the skin is MMS New York Light make up 2a.

Normally, I don’t use my blog for RL related items, let alone political issues, but I strongly feel this should at least have your attention. With thanks to Moggs Oceanlane for drawing my attention to this on Plurk, and Harper Beresford for letting me steal her blogpost:

Eshi Otawara is still pending notification about her status in the US.
While recent news has been positive for her, things are not as good for all
widows of American citizens.

Brent Renison is a lawyer fighting the Widow Penalty in the US. Eshi
contacted Brent a few months ago after listening to a podcast both Crap Mariner and

I [Harper Beresford] told her about, and he agreed to help her with her case. At
the same time, Eshi met my friend Mike in SL.
Mike also contacted Brent, and
they put together a case for Eshi.

Mike forwarded this letter to me and asked me to forward it on behalf of
Eshi and the other widows who have been unfairly penalized because their
American spouses died before they were able to get a fair hearing.

Please join us in assisting Brent and Eshi in this cause. Click through to
the website, read about, consider if it is something you support, and contact
your legislator.

Subject: 60 Minutes Exposes Widow Penalty – from Brent Renison

Hello,

I promised to let everyone know when I would appear on CBS 60 Minutes. The time has come. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Bob Simon, the most honored journalist in international reporting, will expose the “Widow Penalty” to the nation this Sunday night, November 23rd on CBS 60 Minutes.

America is deporting widows of American citizens automatically and without appeal when their spouse dies during bureaucratic processing of the green card application. My sincerest desire is that, after watching the broadcast, Monday morning you will do something about this terrible practice. There are a number of ways you can help to end the widow penalty.

The most important is to tell your elected officials that a change must occur in the abysmal way that we treat widows of American citizens. Whether you effect a change in the way the current or future Administration handles the cases, or push through a legislative amendment signed by the President, this practice must stop. Click on the box to find out how you can help.

Please be a part of that change on Monday morning, and please forward this email to just one person whom you trust to do the right thing. Forward to more than one person at a time, and accountability is lost – people will delete the email, just as you might delete mine.

Brent Renison

Cuteribbon

Cuteribbon, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Cuteribbon is by far the cutest dress I have seen in a long time. It’s from Acid and yet it’s so sweet (sue me for the pun). Acid is a group of Korean creators and their shop it most definitely worth a visit. Clothes for men and women, a nice selection of purses and some shoes that I absolutely need to look into, as well as skins and a few hairs.

Speaking of which, this hair is Dana, from Zero Style. The other week I ranted about the use of Renderosity hair on in world advertising, but here Rei Gully has made similar textures and actually built hair with it. And it has quite a lot of alpha, but in this case the cute factor is huge.

The shoes are from Shiny Things (Tuli pumps) and the bracelet and matching earrings are from Luc (Athena) the glasses are Role Optic (Clara) and the skin is from PXL Creations (Linda)
