I’m wearing one of Skin Flicks latest dresses, a really girly little number, Ella in floral Beige and I’m wearing the cropped washed jeans jacket from Barerose’s Nora outfit to go with it. I’ve matched this with the slouch socks in brown from Maitreya and UBU’s PornStar Xtra Hi-Tops MultiColor v2. My necklace is work in progress from Lucas Lameth.

I read that Free Speerit will be back soon, which is good news, because I really like their skins. I’m wearing Alice (pure) which is currently unavailable, and SLink’s adorable new hair Lorelei.

Look of the Day, March 5, 2009

I was playing with some skins, and ended up with Soda’s Girl next door skin (cream smokey-lite) which I don’t wear often enough, but I totally love. So it became the base of a kinda girl-next-doorish outfit with a snug shrug from So Many Styles (Silki Bolero Sea Green) and also from So many Styles the brown Asy shirt. Under that I’m wearing Michami’s gold Glam Tank. My jeans are Torrid’s, from the New School Kari & TW collab and the shoes are Tesla’s Chocolate Caramel Marie shoes. The Cross my Heart necklace is from Miriel.

Last but not least I’m wearing Exile’s Whitney hair in mink.

Runway Turns 1

Runway, the brainchild og Maggie Mahoney and Ocean Bates celebrates its 1 year anniversary, and the March issue is out now. Bigger and beter than ever, and there are exciting things still ahead for Runway. How do I know? Well, as of February I have joined Runway as a writer. Luc is Back in Town

….and with two stunning releases, if I may say so. Maya was Lucas Lameth’s first sculptie piece, back in June 2007. Now he has made Maya II (worn in the left photo), with better stone textures and way more sophisticated sculpties, but with the same organic, stylish ” feel” that much of Luc’s jewelry has for me. Undine (to the right) is a cascade of gems, and the piece is so very adequately named Undine, since she’s one of the 8 elemental spirits, representing water. I’m wearing the Dawn Prism version, which has an opaline iridiscence to it.

Further I’m wearing Lionskins fair 30, Artilleri’s new hair Rina in Toffee… kudos for Antie for the new textures, you rock! And my bikini.. my lovely pink, sheer bikini.. It’s an oldie in my inventory by Simone, and must have been one of the first items I ever bought.

I’m feeling a little different today… Samara challenged me to get out of my fashion comfort zone and use a Silent Sparrow design for a look. Now that’s a sweet challenge, because I’m a long time admirer of Hyasynth Tiramisu’s awesome designs, even though I hardly ever find myself wearing her stuff. She makes the most gorgeous textures and has has a very unique style, not to mention the prim parts of her outfits are just always looking great too. /end fangirling

Anyways… I chose the wine Dominion suit for women and I am wearing the coat with Last Call’s Milena corset (no longer available) and Sheer’s fish net stockings. Also I’m wearing Bax’ ankleboots…. again. I realise I had them still on from yesterday, but they just fit with this look. I picked the Whiskey and Plum set from Balderdash to accesorise. And my AO this time is from Anamations (Cane AO)

My hair is Lady Alanya from Sky Everett and my pick for today’s skin is Forbidden 11, from Lionskins. The fangs are from The Dark Rose

Well.. seems we have at least a hint of spring this week. Crocusses and Dandelions are full in bloom, but for the rest the weather is still pretty meh and grey and wet. Yet, I think it’s fair to say that we can say goodbye to winter, so it calls for a bit of a spring look. The chiffon like Maria blouse from Dela is worn with the black Stella pants from Michami and Bax’ black ankle boots. I’ve accesorised with the silver necklace form Icon and Artilleri’s black snakeskin belt.

I’m wearing Grace natural with red lips and smokey eyes from PXL Creations and Philotic Energy’s Katalin in kohl.

This outfit has a definite 80’s feel to it. With the Konstanse dress from Ivalde which is a zebra-ish version of the tunic dresses that made Azzedine Alaia big in the 80’s. Hence also the leggings, the Xanadu leggings from Truth. I added a little colour accent with the lime fat belt from Callie Cline and Maitreya’s lime slinky stilettos. The massive Callas earrings from Dela complete today’s look.

I picked another one of Aden’s skin light, make up 10, which, with the smoldering eyes, reminds me somewhat of the girl’s in Robert Palmer’s famous clip “Addicted to Love” and with that same clip in mind I picked LeLutka’s Keira hair.

Ivalde’s Odille

I had to look it up… December 3, 2006…. 3 days into my blogging career… knew I was a rookie blogger when I blogged Neferia Abel’s designs for the very first time, and back then, she was a rookie too. Things have changed. A lot. More than 2 years later, we both are still around, still doing what we like best, and I won’t judge myself, but as far as Nef is concerned, I think she has grown so much since that first time that we met and she showed me around her shops.

After that I have blogged Ivalde’s designs so often that I’ve lost count. After all, every visit to Ivalde meant tons of new designs. Neferia is a very busy bee and seems to have an unstoppable flux of creativity. Lately though I have kinda neglected the Ivalde sim, following Nef on the blogs, making mental notes to visit, but it just didn’t happen. Until this morning, and in one of the wings of her giant shop full of vintage and contemporary clothes alike, I found Odille. This Beautiful gown in black with black and blue sequins and a poofy sleeve attracted my attention right away. This is one classy gown, my dears.

I did edit this photo some, but only because I was stupid enough to not use my own light settings on a borrowed computer. So I added some light to the skirt. The rest is untouched.

Vivian Pearl let me know last week that the skin add ons that Cheeky girls have in their store, now are also available on clothing layers, so that you can wear them with any skin of your choice The freckles, but mostly the skinned knees and the spanked bottoms reveal that not every young lady is a, uhm… lady.

For the photo I picked Lamb’s new hair Cherry, and I’m wearing Church of Luxe’s Kate which, I think won’t be available much longer as it was a V-day special. My shoes are the ballet flats from Shiny Things, and the skin I’m wearing is Fleur’s Shoujo DNB 1in Azalea.

The other week Maitreya’s gorgeous tops were all over the feed, and I was a little meh about it, because i’m not a huge fan of big,body covering prims. Dunno, I’m just too voluptuous I think, my shape always sticks out on every side of such an attachment and i’m really not a master in adjusting prims.But Beau and Onyx have made this pretty easy. Not only by giving you standard a s/m/ and l version of both the plain and the AO containing top, but also by adding a resizer script to the medium version. In my case I just had to shrink the large top a little and then make my boobs a wee bit bigger to fill it up nicely. Yeah… making things work on your avatar sometimes takes a little work. I’m wearing the strapless Spring 1 top with Zaara’s white velours Ishaya slacks, which is one of her latest releases. My Industrie work boots are a bit of a funny choice. Thruth sent them to me last night. They are for the guys, but when you resize them, they look really cool and comfortable on girl feet. I would not have bought them off the shelves, but I am pretty much in love with them by now. I kept accesoires really simple, since I’m a firm believer of the less is more doctrine and picked Icon’s gunmetal SW bangle.

I’m wearing Grace again, the fashion tan that was released yesterday, with the lovely flamenco lips and my hair is one of Truths new releases, Felicity 2 in Mocha, with improved textures (and I loved the old textures already, but these look so much softer yet).

I’ve blogged Mavis McGettigan’s designs before, and I just like her stuff very much. The other week she sent me a folder full of her latest underwear and nightwear releases @Skinflicks which were waiting in my virtual closet for the right moment to be blogged. The release of PXL Creations’ fashion tan Grace is such a moment. Just a perfect occasion to show off a great skin in pretty undies. And since I was wearing Pixeldust’s upcoming Posh already, I decided to show you some of the other colours that it will be released in as well.

A jeans/blazer combination is maybe my favourite casual look ever. I’m wearing Coco’s black blazer here, which comes with the white shirt. You can of course wear whatever shirt you want with it, but the shirts from Coco are really well made and I like them a lot. Especially since you can buy loose collars with scarfs attached to them, like the one I am wearing here. Normally this would be challenging, because with the blazer attachment to the chest, and the collar of the blouse to the spine… where would you attach the scarf and make it still look good when you move? Right, so kudos for Cocoro Lemon for these cute collar/scarf options. I’m wearing the Stacey jeans capris from Dela today, they have a nice “not too clean” look to them and the cuffs come in various options (rolled, and flared.. and for your convenience, normal and large). The lovely Mary Jeanne shoes are newness from Insolence. Camilla has come to the conclusion that she has released too little shoes lately…. I wouldn’t mind Camilla’s conclusions more often *chuckles*. These are darling, with a good heel and nice buckles. And then I just had to grab the big croco leather clutch from +Plus and Fnky’s aviator glasses to finish today’s look.

I’m wearing the soon to be released Nathalie skin from Tuli, which is lovely. Uma shows it all here . The hair is Pixeldust’s new Posh hair which Autumn will probably release somewhere tomorrow.

I stoppped by Annah Whitfield’s rebranded shop “Storin” earlier to check it out, and WOW…it’s lovely!. The lay out of the shop is spaceous, and items that I never really noticed before just caught my attention now. Like this lovely red dress which Annah made last December and named after Codie. Can’t believe I’ve missed this before! I decided to wear it as is, because with the belt that belongs to it, it’s just stylish. I dressed up with the cold collar from SLink’s metal collar halters, the vanilla stockings from DownUndies and the lovered Thaelle pumps from Dela.

The hair, with hat,is Charley,from ETD and the skin I’m wearing today is Desire (t2), from Adam ‘n Eve.

The fun part about cleaning out your inventory is that you find stuff back you didn’t even knew you had anymore…. like this lovely pastel green “Hungry for a Holiday” cardigan from Pididdle. I have no clue how it ended up in my inventory, but I’m sure glad I tried it on today. I’m wearing it with Fuse’s sheer Empire Lace blouse and Maitreya’s Cleo jeans skirt and also from Maitreya, the brown coin belt. Also the soho boots are from Maitreya, and the chained heart necklace is from Yummy.

I’m wearing Truth’s Louisa in Brownie (Sale ends today!!!!) and my skin is Grace, from PXL in the darker skintone Fashion Tan (will be available soon)

Mimikri calls this latest outfit of hers Moo! But actually it reminds me more of a giraffe print, than cow print. That being said I’m wearing the system skirt version of Moo in this lovely acqua/blue colour (she also made a prim skirt version). When I was thinking about how to accesorize it, I wanted a bold, almost exotic look, so I paired it with some cerise/pink items like Blaze’s pumps in Rose (tinted a bit to make them match better), Ivalde’s Birla violet/red belt, and Lucas Lameth’s Nalah long necklace in pink

I’m wearing Aden’s gen 4 in dark tan because of the way Mimikri did the arm cut. It’s fairly wide, and Aden’s skin reveals the breast muscle so well ( yeah, I know…I’m kinda obsessed with it) and the hair is Exile’s Helena in Twilight.
