Within the community, by now it is probably widely spread what has happened to Rebel Hope and RH Engel. If you have been living under the proverbial rock, you may want to catch up with this post at Shopping Cart Disco. The positive news in this whole ordeal is that for once, Linden Labs has acted promptly and Charlene Linden has immediately banned the offending avatars. The latest news is that LL has removed all copied content from their servers.

I’d like to link to Cajsa’s brilliant post, since right now it’s about bed time for me, and my brain has shut down for the day. I’ll just be pretty and show my most favourite Rebel dress ever. This azure version was a limited for last year’s anniversary and the texture is simply amazing. It sparkles! I also like that it has no provocative belly button deep cleavage. The halter neckline is of a demure classiness which is sexy in its own way. While this blue dress is no longer available, Rebel has released other colours of this dress. I’m wearing 5th & Oxford’s electric long gloves with it. They are currently not in their main shop, however you might find them at their satellites in Rue d’Antibes or Muse. The matching jewelry is from RH Engel.

Just a quick one today as I have a really FULL week ahead, but I noticed this lovely Swallows dress yesterday at BOOM! and I figured it would be so cute with R2’s new Kahiwa shoes. I’m wearing it with Decoy’s ruby Mraz scarf (slightly tinted to match the sash from the dress better) and Artilleri’s red Paula glasses. Also from Artilleri is the Maggie tattoo and I’m wearing Rockberry’s Uma K light with tintable lips.

Two of my fave purchases from the Jewelry fair are the RosenKavalier hat from Rozorregalia and Amuck Amuck Amuck ! from Balderdash. Not that there is no beautiful jewelry at jewelry fair… but these two hats just really stand  out and I wanted to share them with you. Both hats come as they are. The RosenKavalier has a Hat + Hair option, but neither of the hats are scripted to chancge flowers or colours.

Wear grey for a day is a way to raise awareness for brain cancer, so it’s something I gladly participate in. It’s such an intangible disease and it affects so many people, that the more people are aware , and are willing to support one way or another, is worth the effort since the best way of beating brain cancer is early detection… and for that, people need to know about it.

So, grey is key today, starting with an Armidi base of their Kogo skinny pants and the white Cambridge shirt. On top of it I’m wearing the grey Julian Argyle cardigan from Church of Luxe. Jewelry is the black pearl set from Paper Couture and I honestly don’t know if it’s still available. I’m also wearing Bax Coen’s black prestige boots and Coco’s black leather belt.

Today’s skin is Dutch Touch’s Cleo in Apricot Punk and I’m wearing Truth’s Rose in silver.

Jewelry Fair starts tomorrow!!

The fair will be open from Friday September 18th to Sunday September 27th.  Please TP in using a random choice from the 8 landmarks below, so  traffic can be divided over the 2 sims and help reduce lag.

The fair is designed as a continuous hedge maze – there are no dead ends, and if you keep walking in one direction you’ll get through the whole thing.   The chosen charity is Oxfam – you can read more about them at www.oxfam.org – and visitors will be given lots of opportunities to help out. Oxfam happens to be one of my favourite charities, for the ability to gift your friends cute pressies like a goat… or a water pump… which then will be delivered to people who really need it more than your friend. They do great work also in case of disasters, so donate generously if you’re so inclined (and remember, even 1L$ helps!!)

So…. what can you expect?

*over 130 Jeweler’s creations

*Dunk Tank – dunk a Jeweler (or a Linden!) for charity

*Kissing booth – kiss a Jeweler for charity

*one of a kind auctions – bid on original jewelry pieces never to be owned by anyone else on the grid

*jeweler resources area – how to make your own jewelry!

*demonstrations and classes on jewelry making (schedule handed out at the fair)

Many of the vendors are selling special pieces which 50% of the money goes directly to charity. Read more about the fair at the jewelry fair blog!

See you at the fair… leave your jewelry and other excessive prim items and lagalicious inventory items (ao’s, mysti tools or other gadgets) at home.. you can buy pretties at the fair, ya know. And get rid of the anti-inspect shields… really… jewelry fair is not about you or your fabulous outfit… people come for the jewelry!

Rose and Mimi from ❤ Cupcakes have added 10 new delicious make ups to their Enchanted skin line. I couldn’t resist getting the fatpack for a number of reasons:

1) they’re pretty!!

2) they are SO pretty!!

3) they are only 3000 L$ for the fatpack of 10 make ups

4) they REALLY are pretty!!

5) Cupcakes currently has a 60% (!) off card sale… so, pay 3.600 for a card.. and you can buy up to 9.000 on anything in the shop (or buy a smaller card and yet you will be able to buy a lot 🙂 )

… I did mention the prettiness… did I?

Jori Watler is rebranding her shop and AlaMood will be the new name. She has made oodles of pretties err… beautiful new bijoux that will premiere at the Jewelry fair, starting September 18, but in anticipation I’d like to share this Alkahi Dew set with you. I love stones like turquoise or aquamarine, so this is really my thing. A cuff and a ring are also part of this set which matches so perfectly with Launa Fauna’s new Chai eyes. Other than Alkahi Dew and matching eyes I’m wearing Aitui’s Vintage Hawaii tattoo on Dutch Touch’s Cleo skin (caramel. camo) and Another Level’s Aphro hair.

Usually, when I hear a designer being all enthusiast about their own creation, I’m rather skeptical… after all.. if a creator can’t be happy with their own work, why even bother to release it at all….. but when Shannon Carroll from Coquette blogged her pure elegance dress yesterday and I saw the lace top I was like… mhmmmm… ok… lessee :-). And I absolutely don’t regret the purchase. The lace indeed is yummy, and the asymmetrical, sheer skirt is sexy and classy. The little pearl set also comes with the dress as well as a pair of matching shoes.

Shannon has a special offer… if you pick the dress up on Xstreet, this week and this week only, she includes a special version of her Aurora skin (in 4 skin tones) which well never be separately available in her shop. Now I’m not wearing the skin this time, but believe me, it’s as lovely as the dress with soft pink lips and a hint of blue on the eye lids.

Instead I’m wearing Exodi’s Lily today, Hybrid, which is only available at the Fusion sim and my hair today is Lovesick, from Shag

I’m wearing Madsy’s lovely Peplum skirt (creator Kimberlee Miles), which has a really awesome use of the system skirt with the black halter vest from fri.day (tinted slightly darker to match the skirt). With that I’m wearing the white Dietrich shirt and tie from Lelutka (of which I honestly don’t know if they are still available) and Insolence’s Lea fishnet stockings (from the cat suit set). The rose earrings are from LaGyo. and the wide waist belt is from fri.day (seriously, belts like that are fatpack material, you can combine it with every outfit, so getting all the colours is worth the investment). The walking cane (and pose) comes with Anamations Cane A.O

Ton sur ton is always full of win. For this outfit I started with the checkered tweed jacket from DP YumYum and the Miel MO linen pants in driftwood. I’m combining it with Whippet & Buck’s Hykova Buttoned top in Tobacco, the beige scarf drom Michami’s Ebba tops, the dark brown racer leggings from DP YumYum and the beautiful old boots from 0N (Zero Number, made by Mai Runo). I’m also wearing Coco’s off white v-belt, which I’ve coloured a dark chocolate to match the rest of the outfit as well as Miel’s Genius glasses, which are my current fave on the grid.

I’m wearing Dutch Touch’s Cleo in Caramel (Punk) and the Aphro hair from Another Level. Barely visible, is the Vintage Hawaii tattoo from Aitui.

Launa made more make ups for her new skins @ Chai!!! This time it’s all about the lips, and guess what? Since the lips are tintable, you can personalise every make up. I didn’t play for these pics, so these are how you buy them from the vendor, but in the meantime i made some a little more pale, and the deep red even a little more dark… and the effect is stunning. The make up to the far right is not available as a single, but is a bonus in the fat pack!

After a series of gorgeous skins like Dune, Moon, Mauve and Cleo, Iki Ikarus from Dutch Touch found it was time to make some things to wrap around those skins and made new undies. These are sexy in an almost sporty way. Not the frilly girly sexy, but hip hugging knickers and cross-back bras sexy. They come in the darker, mute colours, perfect for the fall & winter season and of course they come on all layers and are tattoo friendly.

6 (SIX) new hair at Truth this weekend, 5 strictly for the ladies, and the sixth, named Ashton, for the lads… but as usual, totally cute on a girl’s head as well. My personal faves are Yvette (upper left), which is a loose updo with a texture change hair band, and Peaches (bottom middle) adequately called “bed hair” by the lovely ms MIlla Michinaga.
