I love this new mods coat from DP Yum Yum. Toraij Voom is one of the content creators who really rocks my socks. I’m also wearing her new flower moccasin boots. It could be because of crappy SL, but they won’t come off, so I have been wearing them for days now.

For the rest I’ve kept my outfit pretty simple. Kari’s new school jeans are still my favourite denims and I wear them a LOT. The dusty rose Rendez-Vous v-neck shirt from Surf Couture I bought in the fat pack. It’s such a basic, and it comes on all useful layers, so you will see it back in many an outfit on this blog.

I’m wearing Lelutka’s Ife (Sunkiss, make up 3), which I like better and better every day, and Exile’s Amelia in Chimera.

Yes, I’m an addict, and I probably need a program… but when Truth releases new hair.. I just need to have it. Thank goodness he’s putting his new releases on XStreetSL, so I don’t have to brave the lag at the shop… even though, with the poor tools for merchants to classify their products and with the number of releases, Truth’s XStreet hair section is likely to turn into one massive hair knot soonish.

Oh well… life is never perfect, right? Anyway, from left to right, we have Nicky, Melissa, Tamara and Joanna.

Other need to knows… I’m wearing Lelutka’s Ife in sunkissed (make up 3) and Surf Couture’s Rendez Vous v-neck in dusty rose.

When Yesterday I was discussing with Kota about the finishing touches of Whippet & Buck’s new cropped Rachelle bustier, we were also thinking of ways this lovely item could be worn in various outfits. This is one of them.

We both had the lace cardigan from Coco in mind, so I knew that had to be in it, and personally I’m still a HUGE fan for W&B’s Cole boatneck tops, so I’m wearing the alabaster version here today. And then for a skirt… I picked Zaara’s ivory Larin skirt, because it’s so feminine and beautiful.

The flats I’m wearing are from fri.day and the necklace, which is not available anymore, is made by Miriel Enfield (come back, pretty please?)

Last but not least, I’m still wearing Belleza’s latest skin Alyson (pale, make up 6) which just won’t come off for the sheer cuteness of the face, and fri.day’s Joanna 2 hair in Jaded blond.

Back to school? Please, thanks but no thanks… usually SL is all the high school experience one needs with its dramas and queen bees etc. But I kinda like this look… so… there we go…

This week’s Stumblebum Brigade “Epic Fail” t-shirt from Atomic is just so me… I love the ironic text t-shirts… so I had to go get this one. Mind you, it’s only available this weekend, so get yours while you can! I’m wearing it with Coco’s asymmetric red check skirt and Mischief’s solid Cherry sport socks. Wear some flats with this look, or mary janes… no stilettos, it’ll be too obvious, you know…

One of my favourite accesoires is the cord set from Illusions. I’m wearing the bracelet here, and Artilleri’s Paula glasses are my favourite glasses ever.

Last but not least, I’m wearing Belleza’s Alyson (sunkissed, make up 4) and Truth’s Veruca in Espresso.

Belleza: Alyson makeups & skintones

I just wanted to quickly share the beautiful make ups and skin tones for Belleza’s Alyson with you. Tricky’s skins have been a steady presence in my favourite skins folder since Bella came out, and this one is yet again more pretty and sexy. The only wish I have left for Belleza skins is a pale which is REALLY pale (not goth pale, but just the “I never sit in the sun”, diaphanous pale. Other than that, it’s l.o.v.e.
Alyson comes in 5 skintones and a whopping 15 make ups (and a base one). All skins come with and without a hairbase and optional push up cleavage. Alyson has only one eyebrow option, which may be an issue for the really light blondes, but personally, I’m fine with the neutral brown brows.
I think Tricky makes indeed some of the most pretty, subtle freckles (not an option… they are standard) and did I mention he makes the best glitter eyeshadow ever since Starley Thereian started her SL hybernation?
Other need to knows: I’m wearing Truth’s Patrice hair, PXL Creations grey/gold eyes and HUZ tats royal henna tattoo.

Creator Beware

I don’t know how many of you are familiar with Threadless.com. I wasn’t, till it was shown to me a couple of weeks ago in relation to a possible case of copyright infringement. People submit their designs to Threadless.com, and when they get enough votes, their work will be printed on t-shirts or as posters and put up for sale. Cute, huh?

I was informed on that occasion that a couple of shirts in Aikea Rieko’s shop, The Plastik, looked very familiar to a RL artist who is in SL, and she could swear she had seen the designs before, but couldn’t  remember where. A search through creative sites ended when on Threadless.com,  3 of the designs which are on sale at The Plastik were found. (more…)

Today I’m wearing Baiastice’s mono color grey tweed pants I don’t wear this brand often, I’m always having issues with their prim work and “busy” looking textures, but when it’s good… it’s really good! I’m combining the tweed with Michami’s fuchsia Maisie sweater and Madsy’s black fur gilet.

This cute colorful scarf is from Zeery’s and I found it during one of my trips to Rue d’Antibes. I used to have my little shop on that sim, and I still like goiing there. Bax purple suede Prestige boots make the finishing touch to this outfit.

I’m wearing Gwen from Dutch Touch Cream Breeze and Maitreya’s ash Sasha hair (Haiti relief fundraiser). I have tinted the hat a bit to match the sweater. I don’t wear prim nails often, but once fitted these pretties from SLink, they just really look good!

Uhm… not sure what triggered this look… Is it Dutch Touch newest skin Gwen, shown here in cocoa -iLiner wine-? Or Lo Jacobs’ new Giada trenchcoat for her Luster brand? Or maybe it’s the drop dead gorgeous DARE booties from Gospel Voom at GOS?

I really don’t know… sometimes it’s just an explosion of “this and this and this” and all of a sudden it looks like THAT. Whatever started this look, I think it looks fabulous with Michami’s black Pia leggings and the studded Keira ribbon from Dela. The Earrings and bangles are from alaMood’s Sophia Fleur set, and the glitter sunglasses are Arftilleri’s.

I’m also wearing a black manicure from PXL Creations and the Aphro hair is from Another Level.

Look at that doll face!!! Isn’t is exquisite? Iki has really outdone herself with her latest female skin. I think it’s safe to say that she currently is among SL’s finest skinmakers.

Gwen is available in 6 skintones and 14 lovely make ups. I’m showing spring here. As you have come to expect, Iki includes lots of options in her packs. hairbase/bald, 2 types of eyebrows, and 2 different cleavages. There are 2 different fat packs. One with 6 make ups for 3k, and one with 8 for 4k and with 1k for a single make up, Dutch Touch is also among the reasonably priced skins.

Posy Trudeau is back!! Uhm.. well..not that she’s really been away, with her existing shops Civvies and Miau House… but on Saturday 23, Posy will open Homespun, her new project, with attire for him and her inspired by the Depression Era and the years to follow.

I’m wearing her Bluebird Dress, combined with Nylon Outfitters'(tinted) Chrochet Lacey Wrap and League’s Camel Thermal long socks. Yummy’s Chained Heart necklace is a perfect accesoire for this simple, yet feminine look.

Truth’s Amanda (walnut) also fits the theme and Dutch Touch’s latest skin Gwen… well… Gwen is a timeless beauty, so it matches with about anything you wish to wear.

2010, The Future is Now

Rezzable is organising another one of their fabulous fashion events, this time at their only remaining sim Greenies Home. As I write this the opening show is well on it’s way. I’m not good at fashion shows, my computer crashes too easily, but I am lucky enough to have these gorgeous pieces from alaMood and Rebel Hope. Jori and Rebel have worked together on this galactic regal outfit.

It’s a 2010 Future is Now exclusive, so after the event is over, these will not be found in the shops. Jori made the awesome headdress and the choker, and the amazing dress is Rebel’s work. Make sure to visit because aside from Jori and Rebel a whole list of other wonderful creators are participating.

I’m also wearing Lelutka’s new skin Ife (light make up 4). Planning a blog post about what I think is Minnu’s most pretty skin so far, later this week.

Pretty ballerina dancing the day away…. Why is it that, when Paper Couture releases their semestral/annual collection, hoards of crazed fashionistas crash Tableau, but when the individual creators on their main avies bring out new stuff, this goes by relatively unnoticed? It must be the roleplay surrounding the Lu sisters in the past, or our deep longing to own stuff from the RL runways at least in SL, since most of us won’t ever be able to afford the designs of couturiers like Dior, Delacroix or Lanvin in RL… but anyway, that aside, I was at Nylon Outfitters yesterday and noticed that Nylon Pinkney has the cutest new stuff out.

I’m wearing her Inner Ballerina tutu skirt, with the also newly released Crochet lacyey wrap and matched it with Tres Blah’s blueberry pinned flower cami and Michami’s plum Maisie leggings. The ballerina pointes are from Bare Rose.

To contrast with all this girly, frilly romantic stuff, I’ve picked alaMood’s Brea toxic set, with a really toxic lime pendant ( I love the combination of purple and lime… don’t ask me why, but I do). My skin is another preview of 5th & Oxford’s Brooke skin (subtle series) and I’m wearing Truth’s Audrey and slightly adjusted the colour of the hair band to match the rest of the outfit. Request to all the hair creators who, like Truth, use texture change accesoires… please add a fairly neutral white or grey texture too, so that us fashion victims can adjust the colour to our outfits more easily.

I feel like Velma today, so I decided to wear Artilleri’s Paula glasses with the red Bang Bang Bob in mango from Lamb… that’s instant cartoony, geeky Grazia. To stay with the Scooby Doo theme I’m wearing Beauty Avatar’s Daphne (honestly… I only realised the connection now, I didn’t pick it on purpose, I just liked it with this look).

The lovely sweater dress is Tuli, from Elate and Coco’s black flight jacket is one of my favourites this season. Both the brown and this black version are a go to for many an outfit that needs a bit of attitude. Also from Coco is the black leather belt. These awesome Pia leggings are VERY soon to be released at Michami. Milla has moved her shop to a new sim and has made new stuff, which I am honoured to have modeled for the lovely Ms. Michinaga. Whatch her blog later today for the announcement on the re-opening of Michami!
