Hours of playing, I tell you… with all the make up and other options this mesh head from Logo comes with, I am a luck, vain girl, playing with pixels for hours.
At first when I went to demo, I was afraid that the shop would be full of clones, but I don’t exactly know how it works, but everyone looked differently. Lovely, but differently. If you don’t believe me, check also Gogo’s blog post and Willis’post on these heads and you’ll see for yourself that we still are no clones.
So how does this work? You wear the head on your own shape and it’s HUD driven for customization on facial expressions and make ups. The head comes with a fair amount of make up options already, but there are extra’s available separately as well.
And then a note about the base skin that comes with it. It’s a bit too rugged for me for me, but it also comes with a lot of tattoo options to customize the stomach to various degrees of muscularity, and your breasts, with a big collection of nipples. It is a pretty cool idea, really to offer these kind of enhancements, but I prefer a smoother skin that will match more easily with my other mesh body parts such as SLink’s hands and feet.
It would be cool if the eyes and the teeth were separate meshes, so you can more easily wear your own prim or mesh eyes for ever further customization, but the eyes that come with it are pretty and there are a lot of colors to chose from. I have been playing with Mayfly and Fate eyes and this head a bit, and it does work, but only when you don’t wear the eyes (and teeth) that belong to the head.
The mesh head is not cheap. At least, it’s 2499 L$ for the basic pack. But you do get all the skin tones all the base skins and skin options and the basic expressions & make up HUD. So all in all, it’s not a bad deal. Especially if, like me, you change skintones occasionally. The additional lip and eye make ups are available for 249 L$ each and the add on blush HUD is 99L$
