Abode: The Baxton Spring House 2010

Abode: The Baxton 2010, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Aya Liotta from Abode asked yesterday if there were any bloggers who would like to review her newest build, The Baxton Spring House 2010. I don’t usually feature builds or furniture on my blog, but since I’ve added the Explore! page, I have discovered I have a lot of fun photographing not just lil’ole me in fashion, but also nice landscapes and pretty builds.

So yeah… The Baxton. It is a really pretty house. It’s not the very best build I have ever seen, there are some gaps, and not everywhere the textures are perfectly aligned, but it’s just lovely. It has a large central living space with 2 winged rooms. Bedrooms.. or like I did, a bedroom and a bath room. I’m especially fond of the back porch. The only thing that would have made me happier would have been large doors opening from the central living space on the porch, instead of the 2 doors next to the wing rooms.

I did disable the glow Aya put in, since it tend to be too bright with my regular windlight setting. Luckily you can.

  1. That looks like a very light and open build, I’m impressed at the builder. Aslo, cudos to them for making it so you can turn of glow.

I’d love to see more blogs like this, I hardly ever see any build/furniture type blogs in SL.

  2. I’m glad you did a home review. I love how you decorated!

I wish the doors weren’t so large. In fact I’d scale the whole house down by at least a third except for the rooms.

I do love the back porch though. I’m happy to see more large windowed spaces like this showing up in SL. What better way to let spring in? 🙂

  3. Great post, and I love the windows, so good to see the outside from the inside, whether it’s in RL or SL.

I’d love to see more posts like this, after all, the words ‘in fashion’ don’t just apply to clothes!

  4. Its nice to see something other than clothing blogged about!. I love the style, its breezy and open.
