Until last week, I was oblivious of the fact that Kesseret Steeplechase, aside from jewelry, also has a growing collection of clothing under the brand name Hilarious. This Luna Jasper top it one of my favourite things from her store. I’m wearing it with the limited edition brown Tuxedo pants from Elymode, and Bax’s Prestige Boots. The Karmuka necklace and Ritu bracelet are from Zaara (bracelet is a Le.Look exclusive).

I was over at Skin Flicks earlier, and noticed these 2 new dresses. Since I couldn’t decide which one I like best, I decided to make it easy on myself and just bring both of them home. They come in a numer of colours and colour combinations, but I’m such a sucker for powder colours that I bought both dresses in beige, but as you can see, they are both quite different.
In the front is Liza, with a lovely neckline hem and really well done cap sleeves. and in the back is Samantha, which I just find very elegant with the narrow but deep v-neck. Both dresses have a very flattering high waist line and flowing skirt and it clearly shows how skilful Mavis McGettigan is at creating the illusion of a real fabric.

I’m wearing some new stuff from Lost ‘n Amby here… that is… Most of the stuff shows either Ambyance2 Anubis or Lost Thereian as the creator, although there are also some items made/uploaded by the avatar Hannah Bohannes, who’s profile is as empty as the account is new (August 2009) So for now I’ll just assume Hannah Bohannes is a (joint) commerce account for the new creations of the legendary duo of Naughty Designs. I’m wearing their Coral layered bubble sleeves top, worn on the undershirt layer and the Peach knit shirt, as well as the cool moccasins, and I’m combining them with Tuli’s worn dark denim capris and Muism’s beige yeti jacket. It’s such a hippy look like this that I went back to Naughty Designs to pick up the Lennnons in Purple Haze, and the Quartz Point Chakra necklace from Earthstones.
Today’s skin is Exodi’s Sienna cahet Gingerbread and I’m wearing Truth’s Lucinda in carrot.
And yes… this look totally calls for some good old Janis Joplin!!

I agree… when Truth said he released this batch of hair, I thought… wha… today??? Well… yeah… he’s been working on them over the last week.. and lag probably couldn’t be worse on the sim already due to the clearance sale… so.. oh well, why not add some new to the old and keep everyone happily immobile. Clockwise starting upper left are Trina, Lizzie (yeah, after Ms Nerdific herself!), Lucinda (my fave of the week) and Penelope. Anyway.. I’m not making sense.. I’m tired after a really bad night and an even worse day at work… so I’m going to make me a drink and relax some.

A simple, basic look for today, very much like what I’m wearing in RL today. The turtle neck sweater is a group gift from Coco Designs, and the skirt (slightly tinted) is the 2811 black velvet skirt from Pixeldolls. Clothing that basic needs a little accessories, so I’ve picked Icon’s LF gold/wood necklace and Coco Designs’ double belt. My beloved Bax prestige boots are perfect with almost every outfit… but I really love wearing boots with a long skirt… so they were my first choice for today’s outfit.
I’m wearing Hannah, from Truth, in coffee and Tulli’s Bella in fair (Sophia make up), which, according to the latest news, Tuli has finished and will be released onFriday the 6th!!!!
And then about the ribbon I’m wearing… November 5th has been declared Step Up day… step up for content designers, step up against content theft. This is the short of it:
Step UP! is a campaign centred on a special day of action that everyone can become involved with, and that can empower and inform people about the problem of content theft, and what they can do about it.We are aiming for a day that draws together action, education and celebration. We want a focus that empowers people and allows them to express their own creatvity in a variety of ways. It also draws attention to the strength of feeling that there is here on the grid.Step UP! Day will be November 5th – Guy Fawkes Day or Bonfire Night in the UK.Action:a) On this day – no-one uploads textures to the grid. This should show the economic power of people acting together, without harming content creators. We want Linden Lab to see the power of the feeling about the problem of content theft – and to discuss urgently strategies for tackling it.b) As many people as possible wear an orange ribbon as a sign of support for creators.Celebration:The day ends with parties. This one is for my friend Wilma, because she’s crazy about pink, and even more so about J’s western boots :-P. So I went crazy and bought the PINK faux fur coat at Aoharu (for the anti fur SL lobby… it might as well be chenille, so what’s in a texture name) and I’m wearing the short version over the lilac (and coloured) Boyfriendbeater top from fri.day and their pink (but also recoloured) the v-neck T-shirt. The violet wide waist belt (also from fri.day) matches just fine, after recolouring the top on the underwear layer. I’m wearing the Brindisi white slacks from Armidi, and of course… the pink western boots from JB Gazov, for J’s. Oooooh.. the Merengue necklace is from Ruriko Jewell, under the alluring brandname of U&R Dogs
To really complete the Wilma look… I digged up one of my Curio skins ( Sundust light Beach-Goby 1) and I’m wearing Truth’s Lauren in mirage.

Oh yes,… 50L$ Friday so works for me… I TP to shops… see the 50 L$ Friday goodie… may or may not purchase… and then ooooh… that’s nice… and that too… uh huh… I’m easily manipulated…
I admit… That’s what happened at Oh Mai, where I found this Nina sweater and I also picked up the brown Yoga pants at Surf Couture (as well as the red, yellow and slate 50L$ Friday pants!) and then I combined them with Pig’s Ladies like flowers (eggshell) and fri.day’s grey boybeater. Because I’ve been cold in RL all day, I’m wearing Maitreya’s toeless slouch socks (softs 3) in SL, and I wonder… why does everything look cute in SL? I look horrible in RL when I wear stuff like this, especially when I put on boots like these from Zero Number… and dare to finish it with a heart shaped pendant like the Heartwood necklace from Lucas Lameth. But in SL… I think it’s just a heck of a comfy and cute outfit.

Sometimes, scrolling the feeds, you see something and you think… why have I never been there yet? Like was the case when I saw the lingerie of WTW on Berry’s blog somewhere last month. So finally, earlier this week, I found some time to look up WTW by tomoe Zenkova, and check it out for myself. Oh Lord, the greed… It’s not often that I want to buy literally everything in a shop.. but I really had a hard time containing myself here. All the lovely, girly, frilly sets… but… I still maintained a little bit of common sense and only bought a few sets to take home and check out….. You know.. there could be horrible seams in that nice looking set… and how would the back look on these?
Well, let me reassure you… they are really well made… and how the back looks? I’ll leave that up to you to discover when you go get yours! Btw… I think I should mention all of these sets are under 100 L$?

So the boy friend jeans stayed on for this look… I find myself doing that quite often, that an element of the previous look, will return in today’s look. But then again, Maitreya’s BF jeans is such a basic item it’s easily worn in a lot of different combinations.
I also like layering, and I love it when a creator makes the effort to make their stuff on every useful layer. I’m wearing fri.day’s purple striped v-neck here, paired with Boom’s purple wrong size cardi and their latest release, the doll pink Park Life Hoodie. For the shoes I also went with fri.day, I’ve picked their purple basic flats to go with this combination. Ryker Beck ,the creator from Exodi, yesterday sent this lovely Lily skin to her in world group, and it was the base for this purple/lavender/pink set.
Last but not least, with this casual look, I’ve picked Truth’s Brooke, in driftwood, because it’s so very casual as well… like when you just grab your hair, twist it in a loose bun, and stick a pencil in , while half of it falls back on your shoulders. Totally my kind of weekend look.

Coco Designs released this lovely sweater with frilly blouse yesterday and it finally made me take off my Corinthe poncho (well, so to speak… as in, it’s the first item that made me want to post a LOTD, since buying the poncho at Lelutka). I’m wearing the boyfriend jeans from Maitreya with it (thanks Wilma Delgado for reminding me I had that one.. damn .. that chick knows my inventory almost better than I do) and the berry coloured basic flats from fri.day. I’m wearing Truth’s driftwood Cameron and Dutch Touch Jolie Pip7 (cream). Someone mentioned on plurk, that the lips were too special for normal use… but I’m a girl who likes to play with make up, and even though i would not wear this in RL… I can so totally pull it off in SL!!

I’ve been a bad blogger this week, with lots of things on the shelves, and little output… but hey… what can I say, RL has been busy this week and pretty much kept me hostage. When I logged in yesterday, I found Truth had dropped his latest creations on me and I think it’s a lovely batch again.
From left to right there is Maxine, soft and feminine, Mackenzie, voluminous and drop dead sexy, Cameron, speaking of sexy, and gorgeous to show off jewelry, leaving the ears and the neck free and last but not least there is Brooke, which is a very casual and a bit messy look.

and then I had the pleasure of receiving some of Dutch Touch creator Iki Ikarus latest skin samples. She’s working on the lovely Jolie skin and these are some samples of what the make ups may look like. Iki and I were raving over the emerald eye liner and some of the bold colours for the eyes, but also I’m in love with the fire engine red lips, and I’m confident it will make the final skins.

As with all forms of cancer, early detection is your best chance of surviving, or being cured from breast cancer. Yet there are so many myths surrounding the disease, some of them downright ridiculous, others sound more plausible and are really persistent.
October is Pink Ribbon month, or breast cancer awareness month. and aside from regular self examination, I can highly recommend educating yourselves on some (semi-) professional sites like:
National Breast Cancer Foundation
and there is so much, much more
To help raise a couple of bucks to support research and improve awareness, Diconay Boa, the owner of Body Study! has made this cute set of undies, which sells for 300L$ (1,18 USD) and all proceeds go to the ACS. I think you owe it to yourselves, your sisters, mothers, friends, not only females, but males as well (as approximately 1700 men get diagnosed with breast cancer, and which is usually harder to treat) to go get a set and donate some for the cause. I’ve briefly covered Amanda when I wrote about Adam ‘n Eve’s new skins for the skin & shape fair, but now Amanda is in the shop with 4 delicious autumn make ups (Berry, Fruity, Hazel & Ruby). I’m showing you skintone 2, there are 4 in total. I just went over to check out their rennovated skin section and couldn’t help but taking these home with me. The new skin shop is spacious. Previously it was huge but used to be a little overwhelming, because there were just so many different skins. Now Sachi has retired most of them, and the new lay out, with several niches for the various skin lines is such an improvement… Oh well, I’m rambling, I just wanted to share these pretty faces with you. The fat pack is yours for just 1800 L$ and comes with options… bewbage, freckles, hairbase, and all the mani/pedi for every make up.

Ms Frangili, the designer of Sascha Designs is just getting better and better… the texture of this gown Trouble is amazing, and I had a hard time picking a colour… they are all lovely. Like with all her work, she likes to include options and is totally affordable. This gown comes with 5 different skirts from sleek and transparent to the full battleship gown, and of course you can wear just the system skirt for an ultra sleek effect as well and all that for just L$ 400! I only forgot to ask her for a moddable version of the shoulder piece, since my boobs are not that big. Usually the various attachments are moddable though, so it might have been a mistake that this one isn’t. Anyway, no reason not to blog this beauty.
I’m also wearing the Ami amet deli pencet vine earring from Alchemy Mortalis, the Bailey honey VIP group gift skin from Atomic and Truth’s Tanya in walnut
