Tiny Bird is offering some really cute things for 50 L$ Friday this week. One of them being this Painted Bird dress. Autumn Hykova recently ventured into making clothing, next to her renowned hair collection, and so far, her designs are totally cute and well made.

After today, this dress will be available at the normal price, so go get it while it’s (extra) cheap (and buy the purple one and the 2 new Mykonos tops too!!)

Autumn Hykova from Tiny Bird has made some adorable summer dresses! I couldn’t pick a colour, so I’ve been playing Barbie all night switching, to finally settle for the bright pink St. Augustine dress. I thought it would be really cute with the flower cardigan from Coco.

Such a summer combination doesn’t need a lot more, so I just slipped into fri.day’s berry basic flats and put on my teal Onyxia sunglasses from Artilleri and I’m all ready to go!

I’m wearing Tres Blah’s Hiccup skin (Lavender Lippie, which was a stumblebum special) and Tiny Bird’s Greetings from Italy hair in warm black.

Yesterdays was about the jammies, today is about the amazing new Vagabond pants which Toast Bard from Fashionably Dead released earlier today. At first I thought, wow… L$ 250? But then I saw that is for 4 pairs in black, white, grey and brown so that is really an amazing price!

A little after I picked up the trousers, I was talking to Dakota Buck, from Whippet & Buck, how Toast inspires her to create new things and that she wished she could achieve the level of wearability (which does exist in SL, odd as it may seem) that Toast has. But I think that both Dakota and Twiggy are doing a really fine job as far as wearability and creativity goes with their collection, so I’m gladly combining Toasts pants with Whippet & Buck’s turquoise Cole Boatneck top (which was a stumblebum brigade exclusive) as well as their Little Bit of Pretty necklace. Before we parted, Kota passed me the matching bracelet she’s working on and supposedly will be released some time soon.

I like it when Aranel Ah from BOOM ventures in prim stuff. This take it easy tote is very much like the bags I use in RL (and then I curse because I can’t find my keys in the mess) . Love it though!
Lat but not least, the teal Action’s womens Ballet pumpz are elegant because understated with this outfit. There are too little shoes in SL with a lower heel.

I’m still wearing League’s Taylor skin today, and My Protector in warm black from Tiny Bird (50 L$ friday item!!!)

The other day there was (again) a discussion on plurk about system skirts. Either you love them or you hate them, apparently. Well, I love them… and to be honest, I think the haters haven’t yet tried a skirt from a designer who actually knows what he/she is doing with the skirt template. Yes, due to how the SL avi mesh is done, you get a big butt when you wear a system skirt, but…. hello… that’s what those shape sliders are for… set that butt on 0, make your hips a little less voluptuous and cut off a wee bit of those saddle bags, and voilà, there you go. Anyway, I’m wearing Ingenue’s Memo skirt in Carribean here and the Paris Blouse is from LG Femme.

I’m going to dedicate a whole blog post to SLink’s amazing new Michaela shoes on of these days, but for now, let me suffice to say they are currently the best deal as far as scripted prim feet shoes go. I’m wearing the teal Michaela’s today. The Moon River jewelry is from Magic Nook.

Tiny Bird has just released new hair, and after the survey Autumn to ask feed back about the fitting of Tiny Bird hair, this is such an easy fit for me! Thanks, Aut!!! I’m wearing Magic Trick in warm black today. My skin is KA Designs latest release Iman in tan (make up 1)

This suit with crochet sweater and scarf is from a shop called So What, and it’s made for guys. Yeah… so what? With a little prim adjusting it’s a pretty neat outfit for the girls as well!

Combine it with some great accesoires like the Hydra hand ring from Rozoregalia, and GOS’ Intuition glasses, or maybe even some really elegant pearls to underline the femininity of the ensemble and you’re good to go. Not visible, but a must when wearing androgynous suits, without wanting to actually be androgynous, are some killer stiletto heels. Though not visible, I have chosen the black patent ankle boots from Bax Coen.

I’m wearing L.Fauna’s Lapine Starling tan 1 and Lelutka’s group gift hair Isha in Harvard. The hair base tattoo is a SL2.0 only feature and it’s a freebie provided by Tiny Bird.

Yesterday I found a folder with this Flower Tulle Balloon dress from C’est la Vie in my inventory. It’s a Japanese brand, new to me, but this dress is really cute! So I played around with it for a bit, and this ended up to be my LOTD!

I’m wearing the dress with l’Abel’s new Dinah dirty blue jeans and Coco’s brown Leather & Canvas boots. The hemp scarf is from The Closet.

I’m still stuck with Tres Blah’s pretty faces! I’m wearing Arctic Cold here, which I think has just such a cute blush. And to finish this look, I’m wearing Tiny Bird’s Wild Horses, in Caramel.

With the excitement of Hunain joining me, and all the goodies of Clothing Fair, I’d almost for get that I still had this look to post. Ok, it’s really yesterday’s look, but does it really matter? I have worn the orange version of this S@bbia shirt before, it’s just so versatile. I bought the fatpack and I love how it looks. I’m wearing it this time with Whippet & Buck’s Georgie tapered trousers in Tall Poppy and fri.day’s navy flats.

Riq Graves from Reek made these awesome Denton shades, with 3 HUDS available for endless combining on the frame, the legs and the lenses. I am wearing the version from Tiny Bird, Soon Enough, which has the glasses on the hair. You’ll still need the Reek HUDS to change the textures and get a bajillion options (as Autumn puts it). Today’s skin is from Tres Blah, Arctic Cold, available at MELT.

And we did… I got an adorable penis lollipop (unsure) on the local lucky chair, and after my G, Jori was the lucky girl too with  and got that very same gift. So don’t believe her EVER again when she says she doesn’t get any. But goofing aside, and it IS a shop full of goof and gadgets, there is also a collection of really wearable clothes. I couldn’t resist this striped Popanz Knit top (colour 1) and a number of other items, which I’m sure will make it to the blog sooner or later.

I’m wearing it with Reek’s Laundry Day Hoodie and Tiny Bird’s matching Laundry Day hair in Bistre. I’m in love with Surf Couture’s latest releases, and these shack shorts are among them, as are the boardwalk shoes, which I’ve featured in a LOTD post a couple of days ago, and likely will feature again in the coming days, because I just can’t seem to leave them off for long.

The new camo shorts from League are so cute! I was tempted to get the purple one and dress it all up pink… but in the end I decided for a red look instead with Kyoot’s brown Tiny Collar cropped jacket and Zaara’s wine Mishti tank. The red flats are from fri.day.

I’m wearing Dutch Touch’s Maan Carmen and the new Tiny Bird hair By & By in warm black. You must all go and check Tiny Bird’s new shop build, it’s lovely!!

Artilleri’s Paula glasses are my favourites on the grid, they are low prim, and they look a bit like my RL glasses :-).

Lingerie, Oh My!

Not being a huge V-day fan, there is one thing that I really like about this time of year and that is the massive amount of delicious lingerie sets being released, both in SL and RL.  I have been spoiled with  lot of them lately, so I figured I might as well share some of my favourites with you.

First there is Cream, today’s release from Lovelace, the annual collab between Nephilaine Protagonist and Launa Fauna. I love how this year’s releases are all dessert/patisserie inspired. And isn’t this one just yummy? There is not enough strapless lingerie in SL!!

Other than the undies, I’m wearing precious little… but the hair it Truth’s Peta, the skin is L.Fauna’s Lapine, the bracelet is alaMood’s Keeper of Hearts and the pose and heart are from Glitterati.

The next set in this lingerie loaded post is from 5th & Oxford. The Tease is an upcoming release, and as usual, it comes with tons of options and in several rich colours. There will be knickers, garter belts, bras , corsets and under bust corsets on all useful layers as well as natural and matching stockings to every colour. I love how, with her known eye for detail, Roslin made the stockings look slightly pulled up by the garter. Also they will release their famous gloves in matching colours!

With this set I’m also wearing 5th & Oxford’s Audrey English Rose (medium) and Tiny Bird’s Love Love Love.

I own almost every set which  Camilla Yosuke from Insolence has ever released. It’s just love.  With her gorgeous lace textures and excellent drawn items, she is probably the most loved lingerie designer on the grid. This latest release, Cecile, comes in 6 lovely colours and also comes with a bra option. I have picked the pink corset/chemise option, since it shows a little more of the mad skills of Camilla.

I’m not a stockings fetishist, but I love it when they are well done in SL. Many you see are pretty bland and with mediocre textures, but like 5th & Oxford, Insolence’s stockings are SO well made, with the perfect capture of that sheer shine which any nylons these days have. With every set of Cecile, you get several different shades of stay ups as well.  With Cecile I’m wearing Lelutka’s Ife (make up 3 in sunkiss) and  Maitreya’s Bo hair in Pecan as well as alaMood’s Keeper of Hearts bracelet.

Last but not least in this run is Blacklace’s Mile High set… yes… there is also a stewardess set for this release… but I’m sticking to the undies today… maybe some day i’ll show you how hot the skimpy dress is with the hat and all.  The Mile High lingerie is very outspoken, the woman wearing this is a predator… feline, her poor prey will be caught before he even realises he was being hunted…Blacklace is strong at making this statement, their lingerie is very empowering. There are also lace gloves to go with this set, but personally I’m not a fan of lace gloves, so I left those out.

With the Mile High lingerie I’m wearing Dutch Touch’s Amber skin and the Aphro hair from Another Level.

Who ever said that monochrome is boring? Call it ton sur ton and it’s highly fashionable… any season! I’m wearing Reek’s Laundry Day hoodie today with Très Blah’s Neato sweatshirt (50L$ Friday item) and League’s Thermal skirt all in various shades of grey/black. With the stone Autumn boots, also from Reek, and Artilleri’s Taylor scarf, it’s a cozy and warm outfit, except maybe for the bare legs.. but oh well… i just liked it better this way.

The hair is also Laundry Day, but then from Tiny Bird (collab with Reek for the hoodie match) and today’s skin is the lovely Cleo v2 Sweets (caramel) from Dutch Touch.

Initially I was wearing Dutch Touch’s Roos skin, so I looked around for a nice rose texture, and this one from masterjinn, over at deviantart.com, is just so beautiful that I decided to use it anyway even though I changed skins later on.

Tiny Bird Cuteness

Autumn Hykova, the creator behind Tiny Bird has been creating new textures. There are more textures now, they are softer, have more depth and a really, really pretty gloss. I’ve been playing with her new release Green Gloves all day and I can’t decide which texture I like best. But do I need to? I’m pretty much a chameleon anyway, so I can wear whatever I like.

However, if you are more picky than I am, there are tons of colours to choose from.

I also LOVE the new package. This is what the Great Personality, aka fat pack looks like. Such a pretty little nest with Tiny Bird eggs… click on the colour egg you want to unpack, and it’ll be delivered to your inventory. It’s a great way to keep your inventory count down as well. Keep the pack, and unpack the hair as needed, over and over.

O HAI Abby Cole!

I like how the Abyss does not create skin, but Identities… and indeed, all their skins have very distinct characters. Abby Cole is portrayed as Teacher’s pet by her creator, but for me she’s also a delicious farm girl, so that’s how I decided to portray her. The fact that I’m spending a lot of time landscaping Leek Island is probably also part of my current country life fascination.

Anyway. I think Abby Cole has a delicious face. But like most skins at The Abyss the skin absolutely has issues. Seams, smudges… they’re all there. Also at 1400 L$ for a single skin, The Abyss is absolutely one of the more expensive skin shops. But what can I say, I’m a sucker for a sweet face.

Abby Cole comes in 2 skintones and is a natural red head, but the lighter browns will work very well on her. I’m wearing Tiny Bird’s Ring of Fire (ginger) and Surf Couture’s “I’m a little bit coutry” in Mossy Creek.

Hiccup

Hmm… so.. instead of full reviews, I’ve decided to give a photo impression of the new skins which I like for a while. SL is being a serious pain in the you-know- what lately, and taking a lot of pics is not good for my mood *shakes tiny fist* .

One of the most striking skins lately is Très Blah creator Juliette Westerburg’s Hiccup.They were released little over a week ago for the Designers Unitded III Vaudeville event, and today Juliette has released yet another make up for this weekend’s stumblebum (and it’s only 300L$, so a great way to get to know this skin for a very reasonable price!)

Hiccup Lavender Lippie has the sweetest mouth and soft, delicate features. I’m wearing the light eyebrow version, but it also comes in a dark version, as well as without the freckles. But admit…. don’t you just think these are darling?

Other need to knows: I’m wearing Tiny Bird’s Love.Love.Love hair (name is an understatement, it’s Love.Love.Love.Love etc) and Surf Co.’s Violet Floral Slouchy Thread Sweater
