I was playing around some with Atomic’s Grace skin and wasn’t quite happy with how she looked on my own shape, so I made her a new one.

She’s a bit bratty and pouty, but also really cute. I hope you’ll like her as much as I do.

mmm… this week has been amazing for poor little skinwhoreish me 🙂  with releases like Isis and Lola, Taylor and just yesterday Julie, I am just a happy girl. A couple of days ago I have released at /GEEZ/ 3 new shapes for the ladies, and today I have added 2 more shapes.  It’s good to be back at making shapes again.

Sayuri has been a work in progress for a bit. Made for Tuli’s latest release I wanted her to be cute and ultrafeminine. The result is a petite Asian shape, with almond eyes and a heartshaped, kissable mouth

The second shape I have made for Julie, the newest red head from Laqroki. I wanted a more voluptuous and creamy looking shape for this lady, a bit à la Christina Hendricks (without actually looking like her, but you know… some meat on the bones!)

More Than Meets the Eye December Gift

Oh my, what has happened to 2009?? Tomorrow it’s new Year’s Eve already. Time to give you, my readers, a new pressie.

I made this shape December on L.Fauna’s Lapine, because it is one of my favourite skins at the moment, but I also fitted her on a couple of other skinds, such as Lelutka’s Estelle and Tuli’s Bella.

Minimum Change, Maximum Effect

With the Vanity Universe skin fair about to start, it’s time to do a post I’ve been sitting on for a LONG time. I get a lot of questions about my shape. Or rather, how it is possible that about every skin I try on looks pretty good on me.  At first that question embarrassed me, after all, when I blog a skin, it’s about that skin, not about how good I look… well.. of course, I do like looking good in the skins I feature, I admit, I’m vain like that… but when I blog a skin, it’s just not about me, it’s about me showing a skin which I really like and showing that skin in the best way I can.

But after a few times, I started to get used to it. After all, at some point I did have a shape shop and I consider it a compliment if people like the shape I have created for myself, and if they think it goes well with a lot of skins. I have always tested my shapes on a lot of different skins, to make them work with more than just one or two, so yeah, that’s basically what I do for myself as well. And the recognition of that is very much appreciated.

But the (not so) secret to looking good in “every skin”  is in minimal tweaking of the shape. And I know that is a touchy subject for many of you. “My shape is unique”, “It’s my personality” are much heard when it’s about shapes. But you also hear a lot of people complaining about skins “it looks like crap, it’s such a bad skin”  I beg to defer. A bad skin is a skin which has flaws… seams, smudges, blurries, bad blending, awful make ups, sloppy details. What most people intend when they say “it looks like crap” is actually, “this skin does not match with my shape, it doesn’t fit my shape” (more…)

Skin/Shape Expo: The Mega Shape Comparison

Skin/Shape Fair

So… we have a skin/shape expo, and almost half, if not more, of the merchants are shapers… then that calls for a shape post on More Than Meets the Eye, even if I’m not really comfortable blogging shapes. After all, even if I closed my shop about a year ago… I still consider myself to be a shaper, and I have a personal vision about what I think a good shape is. That’s why I have decided this post is not going to be a shape review, but a shape comparison.

I have taken 9 shapes, plus my own for reference, since that’s what you guys see me in all the time, and 3 skins and put it all next to each other, so you can see the difference. I’m sticking to the same order of shapes in all 4 series of pics (1 set of body pics, and the 3 x10 face shots).

The shapes used:

OK… sit back and relax… some shapes look a bit weird on some of the skins, but hey…. for comparison’s sake…?

First, the series of body shots… these were all taken in the same frame, with a fix camera position, so the tall shapes are really tall… and the short ones… yes… really short (My length is 62  BTW)

For the faces it was difficult to keep a fix camera position, because due to the length of some shapes, and the shortness of others, you’d either see the boobs or the top of the scalp instead of the face. So beware… if the face looks much bigger than others… it’s likely bigger for real… but maybe not this much!

Hey people… It’s been a while since I made you a shape for free, actually, it’s been a while since I made any shapes at all. No, I’m not planning to re-open my business again, but I just wanted to show you a little appreciation for keeping up with my scribblings, and all your encouraging messages. Thank you for that!

So, I present to you June and some examples of what she looks like on different skins. June is not tall, not skinny, she has small boobs, a little junk in the trunk, and even a wee bit of a belly… oh and she detests bling. New Shop @ Truth and 50% Off Sale!!!

A couple of weeks ago Truth Hawks invited me to set up a shop at his sim, and today I finally finished. Oh well… I also redid the vendor photos, and I released 3 new shapes, of which one for the guys!!!

To celebrate, I have marked down all pose sets and shapes (including the new stuff) to 50%, only for this weekend and only at the new Shop at Truth (to the right of Truth’s shop). Before I log off on my Sunday evening (GMT+1) I will restore the original prices. Single poses are not included in the sale.

Get it While You Can: Free Parfait shape

If all goes well, next weekend we will celebrate the official opening of the Rue d’Antibes sim, so I have decided to take the freebie shape that is currently in the shop down sometime on the 29th, and get something fresh in there, just in time for the opening.


She’s lovely, sexy, non mod, but comes with a skirtshape as well, so while she’s still out there… go grab her.
