O HAI… remember that I make poses (sometimes)? Well, I have finished a set I was struggling with for quite some time, and finally I am happy with it (no. 7), and Jori kept sending me tons of gorgeous images that are ideal for showing off jewelry, so I made a set of those too (no. 8). I hope you will enjoy them as well.

It must have been around last summer that Stephanie Misfit was teasing all of her plurk buddies with some images of a skin she was working on, and then… it took until today for Claire to hit the store! Out today at La Sylphide, Claire, a lovely, soft looking skin with luscious, shiny lips and some beautiful eye make ups. I admire Steph for making some of the most elegant faces around. Claire comes in 3 skin tones, I’m showing you the lightest here.
La Sylphide skins are a wonderful solution for skin lovers on a budget. These are not frankensteined, original skins for a totally affordable price of 600 L$ for a single skin, and only 2k L$ for a fatpack of all 8 make ups in a skin tone

mmm… this week has been amazing for poor little skinwhoreish me 🙂 with releases like Isis and Lola, Taylor and just yesterday Julie, I am just a happy girl. A couple of days ago I have released at /GEEZ/ 3 new shapes for the ladies, and today I have added 2 more shapes. It’s good to be back at making shapes again.
Sayuri has been a work in progress for a bit. Made for Tuli’s latest release I wanted her to be cute and ultrafeminine. The result is a petite Asian shape, with almond eyes and a heartshaped, kissable mouth
The second shape I have made for Julie, the newest red head from Laqroki. I wanted a more voluptuous and creamy looking shape for this lady, a bit à la Christina Hendricks (without actually looking like her, but you know… some meat on the bones!)

Belleza’s Tricky Boucher did it again. Last year he won me over with Bella, and now he releases Jesse at the skin/shape expo. She’s gorgeous. I bought one fatpack when I was at the expo earlier, but while taking piccies, … I got greedy.. but now the expo is full and I can’t get back in for more!!!!! :-(. There are 2 skint tones available at the expo, this sunkissed, and a darker tan, I don’t even know right now how many make ups there are for Jesse, other than I bought make up 12-15, so there4 are at least 15 :-). It’s a must try, k?

Oooooh… such speculations… I’ve heard many… who are the people behind Fri.day??? It is the question of the week and of course I do have my own idea about the creative forces behind this brand, but, does it really matter? If a content creator, or a group of creators, decide(s) to startup a new brand, under an alt, breaking free from their previous image and conventions, or not, whatever pleases them… should it all keep us captive for days? I don’t think so, people. I’ve heard the wildest assumptions, culminating in the inevitable “it’s Ginny, I know for sure” . For me counts what I see though, and what I see is original and well made content. Basics for now, but with obvious feeling for style and a knack for crisp textures.
I’d like to congratulate the fri.day crew with what is already looking like going to be a very succesful launch of their brand, and can only express my hope that they will not neglect their original SL projects.

Mimi and Rosemary of Cupcakes have made another skin, Enchanted. She’s gorgeous. For now there are 10 make ups and a natural face and knowing them, more additions are in the making.
Unfortunately SL decided to eat my entire inventory but for a few items today, and Enchanted is gone… *cries*.

Well, ofcourse I could write again what a great skin creator Iki Ikarus of Dutch Touch is, but I’d so be parroting myself by now. However, every skin Iki has made lately made me squee with joy. Dune is no different… look at those brows.. it gives such an intense look. Not to mention the rest of the gorgeous face, the shading of the nose and the suberb pouty lips. On the risk of boring you with my superlatives, I think you really should go and demo Dune.
(I know I’m all about the face this time, but that’s just because Iki’s bodies are ALWAYS flawless).

Ivy Graves of Atomic has been putting some new pre-release skins in her shop. They are the new skins, but with limited make ups.They are priced at 1000 L$ for a single and convenient packs of 2 make ups and an au naturel skin for 1700 L$. Then every skin comes in a freckled and a non freckled version, so that makes a total of 6 skins in a 1.7k pack. Pretty good deal if you ask me, considering the over al yumminess of these skins. They come in 6 deifferent skintones. This is cream, the 2nd lightest.

As you’ll probably know, I have been a huge Tete à Pied/Fleur/5th & Oxford fan from very early on in my SL and I still have their very first skins hidden in the depths of my inventory (thank you CC!). The faces are gorgeous, the make ups impeccable…no smudges or blurs at all and the bodies are smooth and soft. I thought it would be nice to put the 3 most recent skins next to eachother so you can see for yourself what a difference there is between the very popular Vivant skin and the soon to be released Audrey.

So the other day Hart IMs me, and told me he had been working on a new male skin and that it was almost there… So he TP’s me … and all I could look at were those abs… they are simply divine. Jude is at the base of this pixel hunk, but it’s been completely worked over, softening the abs for a more natural look, adding more definition on arms and legs because Lucas, by all means, is not a softie. Oh well, in the end, there is precious little Jude left in Lucas, and I just had to share.
Luca is out @ PXL Creations now, 4 skintones with tons of facial options, as usual.

It’s taken quite some time in between RL work and some projects that went ahead of it, but as of today, Kim in in the shop at PXL Creations. I think it’s Hart’s best skin ever… logically so, maybe because it’s an ongoing work of development, and he strives to grow with every skin he makes. But yes, again, I’m very happy with the result. One of the masive improvements in this skin is the way he handled the eyebrows. They have always been hand drawn, but a lot of people thought it was a weaker feature in the skin. So Hart’s been studying eyebrows in RL and Kim’s brows really look good IMHO. The pale Kim has a red head version, but it didn’t feel good to use it in the darker skintones, so that is a bonus for the fair skinned among you. And the tan has a light brown hair version instead of the blonde.
Also new is the pricing. I’m excited about it! We’ve had some massive discussions about prices over the last couple of months, but I’m so pleased to let you know that all female skins at PXL creations as of now are priced L$ 1000 per single skin (well, single skin… not really… single make up, but still all the eyebrow options and the hair and bald version) and that there are great deals on the fat packs as well.
Also, Sasy needs to show Hart some good lovin’ because finally he’s decided to make his skins shaved and offers various pubes on the underpants layer! She (and many others… so go smother the guy) has been asking for that for ages now!!
This skin was first developed in tan. We were looking for a way to achieve a higher contrast skin than what PXL did so far, but without making her look like she’s been in the tanning studio too much… you know… that orange tan that a lot of tanning studio afficionadas have. So the idea was to work from the tan Kim and then gradually go lighter, and correcting shading and highlights on every skin tone as she went paler, to maintain that very contrast we were aiming for. And then the process started again, which I’ve shared with you guys before… beta v1.2 up to, I think, 6.7. Meticulously balancing the adding of a pixel or two here… and then upping some contrast there or adding some shading on the calves… aaah, I think you get my point. There has been put a lot of work again in this beauty. I would have loved posting a photo of various beta’s next to eachother… but the differences from beta to beta are not really visible on the photo’s. You’ll agree with me that the end result is stunning, though. Nude pics after the cut!! (more…)
