OMG… this is the cutest hair thingy I have ever seen!!! Canimal made these and you can touch each butterfly and they wil change colour, texture and shape… and not only once, not just twice, but you can keep clicking, it seems the options never end.

Yesterday, while goofing in groupchat with some of the nicest people I know, Raven Callisto, from 7 Deadly Prims and House of Hucci (both currently under reconstuction) asked me about my birth month and on my “December” she sent me this pretty Pearl and Topaz necklace with matching earrings. It was the base of this simple but elegant outfit made with Icing’s Femme Noir and Surf Couture’s Teal Chuny leather belt. The shoes are my fave freebies ever, the black slinky stilettos from Maitreya.
I’m wearing Fleur’s Shoujo Azalea spring 6 and ETD’s new hair Torwen in Espresso.

With the new things that I’ve been doing quick posts about today, I’d almost forget I still have today’s look to post. So without further ado, It’s pretty much a SkinFlicks outfit, but the lace top and belt are from the Paige outfit, and the pants are from the Scarlett ensemble. I’m wearing the nougatine bracelet and necklace which were the prezzies from Muse in the Armoire showcase hunt, and Maitreya’s slinky white stilettos.
Since everything has already quite the golden look, I decided to just go along with that andnot looking for enforced contrast and picked Truth’s Gwenevere in Sand, and LeLutka’s beautiful Roma skin (light, make up 2a)

Finally my friend and master jeweler Lucas Lameth has decided it is worthy to be released: Gaea. Gaea, or Gaia in Greek, is the Mother Goddess, risen out of Kaos, and giving birth to all.
Lucas has been working on this necklace for a long time, meticulously creating the gem textures, crafting the sculpties and torturing the poor prims into their current state of perfection. Or, as Lucas states on his blog, ” I don’t want to release just anything. I want to give you my best.” Luc, I think you succeeded… again.

Nicky Ree granted me a preview of this first gown in a new collection. Water Nymph Adrie is like water pixelfied… gorgeous textures with waterdrops and a wavy prim gown. It will be released on Saturday 28 may to the public and has been out for a bit for Nicky’s group members. While I’m showing your the blue version, I’m sure this gown will be released in vast range of colours that we’re used to from Nicky Ree.
I doubted for a bit what to wear with this beauty, and in the end I decided to pick Lucas Lameth’s Athena necklace and earrings to accesorise, because the prism ETD’s sea nymph hair in Abyss, which is not available anymore, but a perfect hairdo to wear with this.

A couple of weeks ago, Autumn Hykova shared a folder with a lovely updo and tests for her new textures with me, and I fell in love. later I understood that these were not for Pixeldust, but that Ms. Hykova has been working on a new hair brand, Tiny Bird, and has been working steadily to create a collection of lovely, feminine hairdo’s.
I’m honoured she’s been willing to share her unreleased designs with me. From left to right, Giselle in the dark Dragees colour, which can be worn with bangs, like I do here, or without, Charlotte, in cream, which oozes class and femininity and Autumn’s latest Esme, which is a casual ponytail in what may be my favourite of her textures, Café au lait.
The Tiny Bird hair will be available soon.

I was looking for something to feed my spring feeling and this pretty much does it for me. The cute butterfly patchwork slip dress from Uncle Wiggily is being matched by the gold Cole boat neck top from W&B (available soon) and the Scarlet patent belt from Fleur. I found the yellow classic pumps from FNKY back in the depths of my inventory and accessorised the outfit with the heart necklace from Icon and the red Melange earrings and bangles from Zaara.
I’m wearing one of the new spring make ups for Grace, soon to be released at PXL Creations, and Truth’s lovely Chelsea hair.

Dazzle’s Marissa was the first piece that I ever bought from Ginny, and I treasure it in my inventory, even if by now, there are more sophisticated designs out there, and in retrospect, many designers have drastically improved on textures. But hey… this was back in 2006 and the design is still cool. The system skirt has a great fit, and the top part is, even in 2009, very elegant. So I’m wearing Marissa top with Persona’s high waist black trousers and the Persona Helena black sash. Truth’s C. Edo flats are a cute Audry Hepburnish touch in this outfit. I have accesorized this look with black pearls from Caroline Apollo. They are all from different sets, but since the textures are the same, it’s perfect for mixing and matching.
I’m wearing Lelutka’s Roma sunkissed 2 and Truth’s Ethan hair.

Over at Soap I saw this funky Rocknrolla hair and got all greedy! I also got my hands on the cutoff camo pants and then I wanted to glam it up with Michami’s beige Stella jacket, and Truth’s new beige Aurora heels. Icon’s Heart necklace is chunky enough to stand up to this look, yet adds some femininity to it. The pouty look of the Mai Mia Midnight skin vol. 4 has plenty of face palm attitude to be the perfect match for this outfit.

When I first heard of Popfuzz “Poppy” Bamboo she was the Queen of Colours for me. Everything she made, no matter how wild the outfit, came in at least 10 vibrant colours from shocking pink and royal blue through warning sign yellow and apple green. And not only that, Poppy is one of those creators that puts every possible (useful) layer in the pack for massive combining her things with other designs. The other week I saw on her blog that she made this cute naughty nurse outfit, wearing a really cute skin tight dress, and guess what…. Poppy has been making more colours again! She’s been dimming the colours of this dress -Nadia- a little though, making them deeper and richer in my opinion. I’m showing you only a couple of the colours in which it’s available, becaues as usual, it’s a colour fest!
I think you will see me in this dress more often, or wearing parts of it, because like I said, it is perfect for layering with other stuff for outfits. The release of Nadia is expected one of these days.
No date set yet for Popfuzz‘ new skin Indulgence, which, like the clothes at Popfuzz comes in a plethora of skintones and make ups. Indulgence has a lovely face, with tons of eye make ups and a luscious cherry mouth. There are 2 eyebrow options, light and dark which for me are both on the reddish side, that might be something to work on. Thebody come’s with a normal boob shading, and a cleavage shading, for that Eva Herzigova “Hello Boys” effect. Like I said, Poppy has no date yet for the release of Indulgence.. but if you subscribe to her mailing list in her shop, you’ll receive a nice Indulge skin gift in al 9 skintones!
Upcoming is also a really nice male/unisex release and I just might show that later this week, If SL will stop make me crash every time I try to make a pic!!! *shakes fist *

*smiles* I’m feeling nostalgic lately. Maybe it has something to do with the endless boxing up exercise to get my inventory back to manageable proportions, going through the old stuff, deciding whether to put it in a storage prim, or to delete.. or leave it untouched in the folder and I found a lot of Opium stuff back. Things that I bought when I was a noobie. So when I was at Le Zoo the other day I couldn’t resist checking out Alaska’s shop to see what was in there that I didn’t already have.. and I found this pretty Dollie sweater, with belt and cami. I’m wearing it with Artilleri’s black Carla skirt, which is a near perfect match and then I completed it with Canimal’s Suicide Girls body grafitti, Decoy’s ruby Mraz scarf, Big Booty Big Money’s charm chain necklace and Truth’s Fire engine Mina flats.
I’ve picked a skin from Crush (light 2) by Crushed Clarity, aka Ivy Graves, the creator of Atomic and I’m wearing Truth’s Alicia hair, which I think is the best he ever did.

Mmmm… newness at Fleur makes me happy… especially when it’s newness in the Shoujo line, which currently is my favourite at Fleur. I just love the smooth and soft features of these skins. Roslin and CJ have created 6 new lovely make ups for this season, with soft pinks, sheer blues and powdery peach colours.
The body on this skin is the new Shoujo body, as it was introduced late last year. The soft glow, the handpainted look and the level of detail on this body makes Shoujo a worthy alternative for those of you who do not pursue the current trend for hyper realism and shine. And on another level, I hear many people complaining these days that everyone seem to use the same references, whether they were legally acquired or not, well… The creators of Fleur have been on a quest for references NOT used by everyone and their mom, making Fleur skins some of the most authentic and original skins available.

Feeling all artsy today in Aoharu’s simple white long shirt, Calypso Giano’s striped Love is a Gamble top, Kari/TW’s black new school jeans and Redgrave’s black Biker girl boots. A colour accent is Muism’s Tartan 001 skinny tie and I’m wearing Artilleri’s Paula glasses for the intellectual touch.
I’ve picked the über classy but casual Grace hair from LeLutka for today’s look, and I’m wearing Lionskins’ SU fair 27. Love the luscious lips on this one.

Rant ahead…
Why don’t I just follow my gut feeling? A loooong time ago I stumbled on a then new shop from a then new designer, and I picked up the cutest looking dress.. only to discover that it was far from flawless, and that the primwork needed to be re-done before I would even consider wearing it… That dress by Indyra Originals has long been deleted, and although I have been looking at her designs on occasion, I have always had this “be careful” feeling that the vendors cannot be trusted to reflect the quality of the actual design. Last week at the clothing fair I saw this lovely outfit at her shop: Bourgeois. And that blouse would be perfect to match with numerous outfits…sheer, looking gorgeous… so I bought it. After all, designers develop over time, right? They get better, improving their skills…So I bought it, and I’m wearing it here. And it does look lovely… or doesn’t it… It does, except for the 2 less sheer “stains” under the arms, that obviously have not been properly cleaned up, and a similar stain on the neck, barely covered by the prim collar.
Anyway… I should make a habit of taking more time to shoot pics for the blog… Had I seen this before logging off from SL… I probably would have changed the blouse in something better, but oh well… I always hear people want flaws to be pointed out.. so here you have one… major… flaw…. Luckily the rest of my outfit is pretty flawless and pristine… like Insolence’s Dolores white bra, like Maitreya’s Ivory high waist skirt, or, also from Maitreya, the white slinky stilettos. Simple but elegant. Less simple, but simply to die for are Muse’s new Melusine earrings, currently available at l’Armoire . Also lovely are the Secretaire glasses from Le Petit Prince.
I’m wearing Tuli’s Nathalie skin, one of the sweetest faces around at the moment and ETD’s Juliana in strawberry.
