It has been a really fun and busy week. Samara was visiting in RL and we’ve been out and about all week. I’m sorry to see her go again, but what a good time we’ve had! This lady has really become a wonderful friend over time and I’m glad she could arrange some time in Amsterdam!

TGIF? well, yeah, the downside of me running around all week between work and spending time with my friend is that by now, I am just, plain tired! In a good way, but nevertheless, I’m not up to doing anything but being awfully lazy today… and maybe blog some…

Riq Graves, the creator from REEK has made these slide sandals in a ton of colour combinations, and while in RL I’d rather not be found dead wearing stuff like this… it is so utterly symbolical for being lazy!!!!
The socks come with them. Either you opt for the socked prim feet options, or slide them on your naked pixel feet… they look dorky and trashy in a good way. I’m wearing them here with Aitui’s Her Boy Briefs in plain aqua and T-junction’s I’m a Fucking Princess t-shirt. Skin is Iman from KA designs, and my hair is from Truth… but I didn’t write down which one and now I don’t remember which one from the cazillion Truth hairs I put on for this pic……

SySy’s SLDD Exclusive for May

SySy Chapman has created this lovely Lana  dress as a SLDD exclusive for the month of May.  Only available for SLDD members, and only throughout this month.  SySy also made some  pretty arm laces to go with this dress, but I have never been too fond of those, so I prefer wearing Lana like this, with SLink’s Michaela shoes in gold and Tomoto’s corsage dse fleurs noires  in Truth’s Emme hair in espresso.

I’m currently infatuated with Ka Designs Iman skin, so that’s what I’m wearing here.

The other day there was (again) a discussion on plurk about system skirts. Either you love them or you hate them, apparently. Well, I love them… and to be honest, I think the haters haven’t yet tried a skirt from a designer who actually knows what he/she is doing with the skirt template. Yes, due to how the SL avi mesh is done, you get a big butt when you wear a system skirt, but…. hello… that’s what those shape sliders are for… set that butt on 0, make your hips a little less voluptuous and cut off a wee bit of those saddle bags, and voilà, there you go. Anyway, I’m wearing Ingenue’s Memo skirt in Carribean here and the Paris Blouse is from LG Femme.

I’m going to dedicate a whole blog post to SLink’s amazing new Michaela shoes on of these days, but for now, let me suffice to say they are currently the best deal as far as scripted prim feet shoes go. I’m wearing the teal Michaela’s today. The Moon River jewelry is from Magic Nook.

Tiny Bird has just released new hair, and after the survey Autumn to ask feed back about the fitting of Tiny Bird hair, this is such an easy fit for me! Thanks, Aut!!! I’m wearing Magic Trick in warm black today. My skin is KA Designs latest release Iman in tan (make up 1)

Can’t help it… the more I look at Ka Designs Zuri skin, the more she reminds me of Beyoncé Knowles on my shape. I seriously have to keep myself from singing Single Ladies and Halo and omg… even Survivor pops up in my head now….this is bad guys… Noooo… not the skin… that’s a pretty one again… but my singing is SO off key! Someone stop me 🙂

Martini Cocktail

I wanted to do something with the Holiday gift Martini dress which Truth had in the subscribo last week (it’s still there btw, if you have missed it, go to the central hall at Truth Hair, click the kiosk and retrieve it from history. It’s the 2nd archive notice), but I’ve seen it blogged so many times already and in so many cute ways, that it took me a while before I found my way of wearing this pretty little number.

Anyway, what I did was, I rezzed the skirt of Martini and unlinked the prims so I could delete the bow and the waistband and linked the remaining prims back again. then I picked it up again (it then goes into your objects folder, in case you can’t find it in the outfit folder). Then I rezzed the skirt of Paper Couture’s Lush gown (still available on xstreetsl.com) and deleted the opaque red long skirt and relinked the 33 remaining prims and took it back into my inventory as well (objects folder)

So, with the 2 modified skirts, and the top of Truth’s Martini dress, I have created a fun and festive party outfit. Semi formal, and worn here with Bax Coen’s suede purple prestige boots, for a more edgy look. The GORGEOUS “my Butterfly” necklace is from Pacadi Jasha. It’s one of those statement pieces which I love so very much.

I’m wearing Truth’s Anise in cranberry (hair band recoloured) and KA designs Vivienne (pale, make up 1)

KA Designs: Bardot Skins Vivienne

Kira Ahn is on a creative binge… one gorgeous skin after another is being launched over at KA Designs. Vivienne is the latest addition to the line of Bardot Skins, and again… I just had to get myself a fat pack of them, simply because I couldn’t choose between all the singles.

I bought the pale fat pack… but the medium and (light) tan skin have different make ups!

New @ KA Designs: Skins Bardot, Agnes

I find myself wearing KA Designs‘ skins more and more often. They have the right amount of realism and softness for me. New in the Bardot range is Agnes, with a gorgeous face on a stunning body. Seriously, I’ve been scrutinizing this skin, and there is literally 1 thing that I found less appealing to me… Agnes has a torn cuticle. Yes, the skin is that good, that my only issue with it is that she could use some cuticle cream… on 1 finger (ok… on both digits, but that is because the SL upper body template has only one arm to work with)

There are 9 make ups plus a bare skin in every one of the 3 skintones. I binged on the pale fat pack, which I think is not really pale, but oh well. Then they all come in 2 hair colours and a hair and non hairbase version. I know that, if you are a hardcore blonde, you couldn’t care less about the black and the brown hair/brow version, but for a chameleon like yours truly, it’s really value for money. There are also 3 hair pieces for this skin. They are done well, but I still think it looks odd  on a hairbase. Maybe because I don’t really care for the hairbase option anyway.

I know I’ve blogged the new dresses from Skin Flicks only days ago, but damn that Mavis MGettigan for having so much cute stuff which I totally love! This Casy Cascade sweater for instance… look at how she has drawn those folds, it really rocks, and the collar of the blouse that goes with it is so pretty. She made a combined attachment of the collars of both blouse and sweater (as well as single collar options) so that it will only use one attachment point. I like it when a designer puts that thought into her work. The Casy trousers are from Skin Flicks as well. It’s a combination of a skirt and a set of trousers. The skirt looks lovely on the vendor, but I had a hard time fitting it this time around. I’m wearing it all with Bax Coen’s brown Prestige boots, Fishy Strawberry’s brown Geisha leather belt and alaMood’s gold Athshe necklace. I just realised something about the belt, which, unconciously, I have noticed before in some Fishy Strawberry designs… it’s very photo compared to some of their other designs and that makes it sometimes hard to combine the items for me.

Like yesterday, I’ve stuck to KA Designs’ Sally skin, because it’s just lovely, and I’m wearing Truth’s Ann in the new champagne blond.

It’s been a rainy day today, and since I have the awesome paraplu pose set from Torrid, I decided to play some with it. My outfit today is mostly coming from the Artilleri sim. I’m wearing Artilleri’s Marius knit sweater, and Surf Couture’s burgundy Yoga pants. The scarf if from creamshop. This look totally calls for a pair of wellies or other snug boots (fyi, I’m wearing Truth’s Huntress boots with it)

I’m wearing KA Design’s new Sally skin (sunkissed, make up 01) and Truth’s Wilma hair in my new favourite colour Latte.

Skin Flicks Liza & Samantha

I was over at Skin Flicks earlier, and noticed these 2 new dresses. Since I couldn’t decide which one I like best, I decided to make it easy on myself and just bring both of them home. They come in a numer of colours and colour combinations, but I’m such a sucker for powder colours that I bought both dresses in beige, but as you can see, they are both quite different.

In the front is Liza, with a lovely neckline hem and really well done cap sleeves. and in the back is Samantha, which I just find very elegant with the narrow but deep v-neck. Both dresses have a very flattering high waist line and flowing skirt and it clearly shows how skilful Mavis McGettigan is at creating the illusion of a real fabric.
