Fair warning (no pun intended): pose vendors hold scripts, we wish we could make them work without, but that’s just impossible. So, more important than ever: PLEASE DO NOT WEAR ANY SCRIPTED STUFF (AO, HAIR, CLOTHING, COMBAT SYSTEMS, GENITALS) AND KEEP THINGS PLEASANT.

Also, special mannequin skins are available for free at the fair. Use them!!

With tons of amazing stuff, to die for props, every merchant has set at least 1 item to donate to Movement, the UK based charity organization, working in low-income countries to enhance the quality of life of people with mobility disabilities.

I have set all my pose packs to donate 50% to Movement and so have many others, so stop by and help your local posers to raise a lot of money for this charity which by nature is dear to us.

Visit /GEEZ/ at the Pose Fair

/GEEZ/ @ Pose Fair 2010, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Weee.. .I got my little booth ready at Pose Fair!!! Pose Fair will open on April 2 through April 16!

Some of you may remember I had a little pose shop in 2008, but RL made it hard to keep creating and releasing frequently and I decided to close. With new hardware and software, I find it very relaxing again to create smooth still poses.

For now /GEEZ/ poses will be available exclusively at Pose Fair, but after April 16, I’ll let you know where I’ll have my stuff available in world.

At Pose Fair, you will be able to buy my single poses for 75 L$ each, but the packs are priced at L$ 250 and of all pose packs, 50% will be donated to the Motivation, the charity Pose Fair is dedicated to.

See you there!!

RFL Clothing Fair, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Second Life’s 4th Annual Clothing Fair benefitting Relay for Life is open! From March 13th at 3pm slt through Sunday, March 21, 2010 9pm SLT you can shop til you drop on 9 sims with over 150 merchants who all have set out 4 or more items of which ALL proceeds will go directly to the American Cancer Society (these are the items in the dedicated RFL vendors)

The Clothing Fair began as a dream three years ago with 34 stores participating in this event for Relay for Life. Since that date, it has grown to over 150 designers over 9 sims and has raised over 11 million Linden Dollars for RFL.

This year is no different. Prepare to be immersed in 8 of the greatest “Fashion Cities of the World” surrounding a center sim patterned after the UN Sculpture Gardens containing sculptures from some of SL’s most talented artists.

For the occasion I have dressed up in Très Beau’s RFL Exclusive Amethyst gown. Yes it is the gown you see on Clothing Fair posters. Isn’t the texture of this gown amazing??? I’m also wearing alaMood’s Amethyst Night Life set, which is also a RFL exclusive (Both alaMood and Très Beau can be found on the CF Milan sim).

Tuli’s Eva 2/6a is the perfect skin with this gown and the stylish red chignon is Summer, by fri.day.

Visit Clothing Fair 2010 and help making this year’s SLRFL bigger and better than all the previous editions!

Jewelr

3850121723_488836a276_o

Jewelry Fair starts tomorrow!!

The fair will be open from Friday September 18th to Sunday September 27th.  Please TP in using a random choice from the 8 landmarks below, so  traffic can be divided over the 2 sims and help reduce lag.

The fair is designed as a continuous hedge maze – there are no dead ends, and if you keep walking in one direction you’ll get through the whole thing.   The chosen charity is Oxfam – you can read more about them at www.oxfam.org – and visitors will be given lots of opportunities to help out. Oxfam happens to be one of my favourite charities, for the ability to gift your friends cute pressies like a goat… or a water pump… which then will be delivered to people who really need it more than your friend. They do great work also in case of disasters, so donate generously if you’re so inclined (and remember, even 1L$ helps!!)

So…. what can you expect?

*over 130 Jeweler’s creations

*Dunk Tank – dunk a Jeweler (or a Linden!) for charity

*Kissing booth – kiss a Jeweler for charity

*one of a kind auctions – bid on original jewelry pieces never to be owned by anyone else on the grid

*jeweler resources area – how to make your own jewelry!

*demonstrations and classes on jewelry making (schedule handed out at the fair)

Many of the vendors are selling special pieces which 50% of the money goes directly to charity. Read more about the fair at the jewelry fair blog!

See you at the fair… leave your jewelry and other excessive prim items and lagalicious inventory items (ao’s, mysti tools or other gadgets) at home.. you can buy pretties at the fair, ya know. And get rid of the anti-inspect shields… really… jewelry fair is not about you or your fabulous outfit… people come for the jewelry!

Hair Fair 2009, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

3 styles that are among my purchases at Hair Fair… Argrace’s Mystic Bob has a texture change fedora (which is also available separately) . Kin is indisputably one of the best hair makers around and great on the elven styles, but these cute braids are lovely for not-so-elven me. Plus, with only 100 for a single, there is always room on my L$-balance for more Kin. Siddean Munro from SLink nailed it again with her Pixie hair, which apparently is Sid’s RL hairdo. She has a new system for colouring the hair (similar to what Dernier Cri has) so make sure you read the note card if you’re not familiar with it yet.

I actually knew that Sparkle also did hair, but I know her more from the elaborate fantasy formal gowns that she has been making for years. But on this hair fair Sparkle has some new styles out. Now you’re likely not to wear them often for your day to day look, but if you want to dress up and are looking for some pretty exceptional updo’s, then you should consider these. My favourite is Helena. The reason why the feathers from Nicky Ree’s Cabaret Star outfit are missing from this pic is that the tiara that comes separately with Helena also attaches to the neck. Just sayin’

Maitreya @ Hair Fair 2009, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Good morning world! Hopefully big bad SL is going to be a little more friendly today… otherwise I might just have to kill a Linden or two… (not that killing the staff is going to make the grid any better, but you know… revenge just tastes good).

What is oh so very good already, is the new hair from Maitreya. You know I hate Renderosity hair with a passion, but with textures like this, there is no reason why one should even want to use it, at least, not for SL photography. Kudos for Onyx and Beau!!

Decoy @ Hair Fair 2009, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

I didn’t know that Annette Voight, Decoy’s talented designer had ventured into hair… but this I found at her booth at Hair Fair. Nicole comes with the bangs and no bangs style included. Katie is just THE CUTENESSband Zoey is Annette’s Hair Fair special. The textures are really lovely. Way to go *sighs* yet another shop to follow more closely.

The lovely tank is Ebba, from Michami.

For the first time since Sachi started to make hair, she has redone all her textures, thrown out the old hair and making a whole new collection of prim wigs. I like it when this woman starts to do rigorous things. Last year she started to show massive improvements in her clothing textures, then earlier this year she felt she needed to raise the bar for her skins, and now she’s back on par with the hair too.

I’m wearing Mara from KA Designs, and yes… Forest, from Dutch Touch!

Truth @ Hair Fair 2009, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Confession… I hardly ever wear non natural hair colours… When I have a fatpack, I usually box the whole pack (for back up) and then from the folder delete the colours I’m not likely to wear anyway. But Truth has this thing with smurfs (and buttsecks, but he never named a hairtexture after that… thank goodness) so this time I decided to pick the smurf and other wild colours to show his hair fair releases. Nuff said… great hair, goofy colours…

Also wearing Forest skin form Dutch Touch, and the candy hearts tee from STUFF

Aems asked me which colour of her hair I prefer… and it’s the blondes. Apparently that surprised her, but I do! So I’m showing you some of her Hair Fair releases in various shades of fair. Keeva is a cute 2 bun up do held back with a texture shade scrafs. I’m showing the blonde. Lilia, with hat and straight, fashionable cut bangs I’m wearing in Strawberry blonde and the boho-ish Pepper to the right is shown in Honey. All Philotic Energy hair comes with black and white tips… but personally, I’m not too fond of that, so I’m sticking to the plain textures.

So I’ve decided to make Dutch Touch’s Forest my official Hair Fair skin… and I’m also wearing the brown knit detail cardigan from Nylon Outfitters

Lamb! @ Hair Fair 2009, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

I’m just going on… I kinda went bankrupt at Hair Fair earlier, so the least I can do to justify that is blog my purchases :-D. Lamb Bellic has quickly conquered a place among the best loved hair makers in SL. With the chunky prims and smooth textures she creates styles that appeal to many a fashionable resident. I’m a fan of ballerina style buns, but when you find them in SL, it’s often hard to fit them right on the fore head. Unbirthday worked perfectly for me. I’ve seen the teasers for Dog Roses on Lamb’s flickr, and it was on top of my must have list. This blonde version with the blue (colour change) cap, together with Torrid’s repetitive plurks about ABBA reminds me so much of Agnetha. Babys on fire… I just had to buy the carrot cakes pack from because Lamb makes some AWESOME reds. I’m wearing this classy ponytail in the delicious Rotten Carrot colour.

Hair fair is open now… so brave the lag and leave some L$ for Locks of Love. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hair%20Fair%202009/101/188/23

I’m also wearing Très Blah’s white plain & tidy cami and I’m still in Forest, Dutch Touch newest skin.

Exile @ Hair Fair 2009, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Kavar Cleanslate is one of my fave hair makers. His styles may vary from demure and classic to edgy and sharp, but they always appeal to me. His hair fair selection is awesome. Lindsay I love for the wavy bangs, Aphrodite comes with the loveliest texture/colour change flowers (and the flower bikini is complementary in the fat pack). Lolita is just cute and has several hair accessories to attach to the pig tails and Cerise is sassiness in motion, cute and assimetrical.

I just was in hair fair… if you can forsake your AO and eventual mysti/multigadgets etc and cutdown on prims… it’s actually not even THAT bad…. ok.. it is… but worth going nevertheless..

Other than Exile hair I’m wearing Zaara’s Isis shirt and Dutch Touch Forest skin.

Hairapy at Hair Fair 2009, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

O HAI… 2nd blog entry today… either we’re not writing at all, or can’t stop posting, right?…. hmm.. guess it’s a blog binge day, so many goodies to share. Laydi Bailly was kind enough to send me some samples of her hair fair releases before I had time to visit the fair so I didn’t have to brave the lag, which this week has been pretty awful. It’s been quite a while since I have seennew things at Hairapy, but Elena, Madison and Kylie are a good reason to stop by.

Hair Fair is opening tomorrow: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Hair%20Fair%202009/128/128/2

I decided just to stay in Forest, the new skin at DutchTouch and low prim elegance, great for Hair Fair, is found in the Nautical set from Fleur.
