Lelutka's Estelle

Well… a few weeks after Oksana and Jade, the first skins in the new Eclat line from Lelutka, came out, last weekend Minnu has released Estelle. And whereas neither Oksana nor Jade made me really happy, Estelle immediately screamed “Grab fat pack now!” to me as soon as the vendors rezzed. So I indulged myself and got the ultra fatpack in the light skintone. Estelle is also better priced than Oksana, at 1190 for a single skin vs 1500 for a single Oksana. Fatpacks retail for little over 5k in most skintones (7 make ups  + base skin), and around 7k for the big  fatpack for the light skintone (12 make ups + base skin) so they are a pretty good deal.

I’m still not feeling like writing a lot, probably because I tend to do a lot of that in RL already, but I will tell you that about everything in this skin is so much more appealing to me than in Oksana, maybe it is because the shading of the skin works better with the enhanced skin tone… but she looks just over all smoother and softer, a characteristic which I really love in a skin.

I noticed Gogo last week posting a preview and having some issues with the blonde brows in Estelle. Personally I don’t have that issue, at least not as extreme as it seems on Gogo. I think it is a matter of shape (size of the brow in the head features, as well as the general shape of the head and how the brow shape baldie works with that) so I’ve posted a pic of the various skin tones using the blonde brows. You’ll notice that, due to the slightly changed skin tones, the cleavage enhancers for Oksana will not work for Estelle, but Lelutka has new ones out for Estelle as well.

Last but not least I want to share the beautiful make ups of the light skin tone with you ladies. Which one do you like best?

New @ Zaara: Kanti

Zaara: Kanti, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

OK, seriously… is there anything at Zaara Kohime’s shop that I don’t love? The answer is no! Whether it’s her clothing, or the jewelry, it’s always love at first sight. The latest addition to the ever expanding Zaara inventory is this awesome set of luxury lingerie, Kanti. It’s available in 6 colours, and comes on all useful layers.

Zaara was sweet enough to send me this sample…but I just had to go over and pick up the fat pack. This is the kind of underwear that makes me TP places in my undies :-D

Other assets: I’m wearing the new Estelle skin from Lelutka (suntan, make up 3), Truth’s Amanda hair in night and Artilleri’s Paula glasses.

New @ Adam 'n Eve: Sascha

It’s been a while since Sachi showed me an early version of Sascha, but it got me greedy back then, and as today the message came through that Sascha had hit the shop, I literally TP’d in my undies to go grab the super affordable multi pack. Four make ups and a ton of options retail at 1800 L$. Do I really need to go in depth about how delicious and lush the body looks? And how much attention has been paid to the various make ups? Aaaah… a picture says more than a 1,000 words… so let’s pretend this is this a 2k word blog post, ok?

Go try a demo and check for yourselves. All of the skins at Adam ‘n Eve have unique characters and won’t make you look like yet another clone.

alaMood: d'Jango

alaMood: D’jango, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Jori Watler of alaMood is currently my fave SL jeweler around. I really like her designs and execution, and besides, she’s just a really sweet lady too. d’Jango is her latest set, released earlier today and comes in silver and gold. Shown is just the pendant necklace and the earrings, but this set, or collection rather, also offers some gorgeous stacked bracelets, a multiple strand necklace (without pendant) and a double chain necklace. alaMood is stylish, yet affordable. Prices vary from L$ 100 for a pair of earrings to 450L$ for the set of 3 multiple strand necklaces.

Oh, BTW, today only Jori has a large part of her inventory marked down for Black Friday!!!!

About Lashes

PXL July, originally uploaded by Grazia Horwitz.

Must have been 2 years ago since the first “prim” lashes entered the grid and how amazing it was that all of a sudden we could set the fugly system lashes to zero and wear something that definitely looked better.
Or could look better… because a lot of fashionistas still have massive trouble making the lashes look good. Part of that may be because they are just not that prim savvy, which after all is very well possible when you see the amount of bad fitting prims on outfits around (I recommend the Ivory Tower for basics on building for that), but it’s also cause by the fact that these prim lashes have a lot of alpha (transparency) in the texture, and always hover in front of your eyes, or, when you try to really attach them to your eyes, they will interfere with the mesh. Not to mention when you wear blonde hair which covers part of your face, that the lashes will flicker through because of the alpha interference issue.

So if you take a lot of pictures, you will keep adjusting and adjusting with the change of angle to make them look good (and oh will they look bad when you turn the other way around). But earlier this yeah Lelutka introduced their full prim Diva Lashes, 151 nano prims, a pain to adjust but once fitted, really awesome for pictures and the other week I discovered the “Real prim” eye lashes from Magika, with the same principle, full prim, but only on the upper eyelid, and “only”51 prims instead of the 151 from Lelutka. For me these are the perfect solution. I didn’t have to adjust them at all, I only moved the root prim a wee bit around (but I realise that, if your eyeshape is less mainstream, you will have to invest time to make these fit!). But once you’ve accomplished that then you won’t be annoyed anymore with the space between the lashes and your eyelids, or the lashes sticking through your hair.

I think these are a definite fashion must have. You’ll find them at Magika‘s skin section, upstairs
