More Than Meets the Eye

On the rare occasions that Hunain and I go shopping together, we usually end up challenging eachother. Last night, he wanted me to show a suit at Aoharu and he was wondering which one to chose. I dared him to go as far away from his usual beloved black, and pick white, which, being a good sport, he did.  I picked pink, because I bet I’d look hotter in a man’s suit that he would. I’ll leave Hui up to posting his own look with Aoharu’s Elegant Suit, but in the meantime, here’s my take on it.

This cute, pink cherry bikini is one of the 50 L$ Friday items at 5th & Oxford this week. Sorbet, is a delicious skin based on their Audry skin with an updated Parfait mouth. 5th & Oxford will be offering it on Harajuku Box skin faire, which will take place from July 10 through July 17!

Hui is waiting downstairs. The engine of his car running. We’re going out for a couple of drinks and a supper on the town as we need some time to just catch up instead of always talking blog stuff (or something like that). So, I think this week’s 50 L$ Friday is going to be a series of must haves again. Yesterday I showed you Casa del Shai’s contribution already, and today I am wearing 5th  & Oxford‘s Seaside Sweetie, which is a preview of their upcoming release in an exclusive 50 L$ Friday colour (will not be part of the release). Roslin has really nailed the butt shading on these high waist shorts, and to make a stripe pattern look this good on the SL avatar mesh, is a pain in the butt and also the other contributions I have seen so far from Artilleri and Arcade tell me that it’s worthwile braving the lag this week!

On a whole different subject, Luth Brodie from Reel Expressions has released new poses again. It’s been quiet for a while at Luth’s, but the last few weeks, she’s on a roll again. I couldn’t resist the new stool poses with prop. Hers remain some of the best poses in SL, though it really irks me that for some poses, my legs seem to be not long enough, while for others in the same set they are. I’ve picked only poses which are really good for me for this pic though .

Today’s look is a quicky, thrown together after a quick visit to Emery last night before I went to bed. I have a love/hate affair with Emery. Usually stuff is too much just slapped photos on a template, the kind of sourcing I don’ t care for -at all- but every time i visit their shop is see one or 2 things that I just want to have. Like this ripped shirt and the flower leggings.. I’m wearing it here with 5th & Oxford’s Rebel Rebel jeans skirt and J’s black boots. The Soho necklace is from alaMood, and the cord bracelet is from Illusions.

I’m wearing Isis, the upcoming release from Dutch Touch and truth’s Giada in champagne.

Today’s look is inspired by the beautiful music of the Gotan Project. Traditional tango, but with a modern beat to it. Very catchy, I can listen to it for hours.

I am wearing the black Romani dress from Azul, which is a perfect little number for any tanguera, and the floral attachment is from Donna Flora’s Diletta dress. The black lace border stockings are from Blowpop, and the long gloves, matching perfectly with the red from the flower are from 5th & Oxford. I’m also wearing Pixel Mode’s black Baby T shoes ( I should have fatpacked… over the weeks I have bought so many of them that the fat pack would have been cheaper anyway).

Isis is a skin which will be released sometime soon at Dutch Touch, doesn’t she have a sweet face, after the more edgy looks of Keira and Kiki? Michelle 2 in cranky brown from fri.day is today’s hair of choice and the corsage des fleurs rouges is from Tomoto.
