Over the past few days weather has surely given us the impression in my part of the world that summer is over. Huge amounts of rain pouring down, wind causing trees to crash (unfortunately also the famous Anne Frank chestnut tree that she could see from the attic window)  and, oh well… it’s time for fall!

I am usually extremely reluctant to post items to the blog which aren’t available for purchase anymore, but I couldn’t resist to use Last Call’s Erin boho skirt in this outfit, simply because, even after so much time, it’s still one of my favorite white maxi skirts. So my apologies in advance.

Hui has done a blog make over and made it all gorgeous for the fall season. Well… less summery anyway. I love the clean silver look that the blog has now, so I’d like to start this post by thanking him for all the work!

Considering it’s been a but autumlike for the past few days, I find myself looking at less breezy stuff already, even if, theoretically we can still get a massive heatwave. But yeah fashion wise Fall is a better season than summer, with more variety in fabrics, layering, warm deep colours. Lets face it… it’s easier to be more dressed with lower temperatures than when it’s too hot to even move.

Anyway… I’m rambling. I’m glad my dad doesn’t have his shop anymore, or we would be visiting the fashion fairs of Europe every weekend for the next season.  On to today’s look:

Usually it’s Hui who rules the black, but today I finally made it to the Maitreya sales and picked up their Boyfriend Jeans fatpack and i’m wearing the black here, paired with the black Bastille top, also from Maitreya. The C. Edo flats from Truth are still my first pick for a well made, simple ballet flat. I’m sorry for not wearing jewelry that is available on the market. Lucas Lameth is working on new pretties for his shop, and this Sirenas Embrace set is still in beta.  My infatuation with Kin’s hair is well known, I’m wearing her latest  release Margaret and Très Blah’s gorgeous new skin Jejune (dark, Halah) and the new Jejune eyes in steel blue.

I think this week’s release from Truth is probably my fave in a long time. Trinity, with the loose braid keeping the hair out  my face is much fawned over, but yeah, it’s my favorite as well, it’s just so lovely and awesome. Though Midori, shown in the middle, is also close to perfection as far as updos go. Loose, casual, yet totally classy and with coloured streak options for a more playful effect. And then, last but not least  to the right there is Kami. I can’t say often enough that we need more ponytails like this! It’s always in style, and just so very feminine. Kami has some streaked strands the the right side of the head, in case you feel like adding some colour.

A day early, Truth has released 3 new hairs, all super feminine and sensual. Face it, it’s just what Truth does best. Long, wavy locks, sassy and sexy. And I happen to like that a lot. In RL I keep my hair fairly short these days, simply because I lack time, patience and skills to style it every day, but in SL, I’m such a sucker for long hair!

From left to right, Vera (with and w/o streak options) Marissa (no streaks) and Keely (with and w/o double streak options), My favorite this week? That’d have to be Marissa, because i love Truth’s curly textures!

Other need to knows: I’m wearing Atomic’s Faith Spicey 2 in Mocha, Dutch Touch’s antique rose tank and a not yet released face tattoo from HUZ Tats, Duality, that I love so very much and won’t come off my face today.

With the summer being really warm this year, I find myself in SL sticking to light fabrics and “breezy” outfits as well, and let’s be fair, it doesn’t get more breezy than with this Wild Linen dress from Ce Cubic Effect unless getting naked. Yes, I know I was wearing Ce Cubic Effect yesterday as well, but can you really blame me? It’s such a cute little number!
