Dotty Violet

I’m wearing the Dotty Violet blouse and the Violet leather skirt from Gizza‘s new MESH collection. I love what they have done so far. Just one caveat, they don’t seem to follow the standard sizing, so make sure you try the demos, even if normally (like yours truly) you’re to lazy to do that. I found the M working for me, but for the blouse there is only S, M and L, and for the skirt M and L, which I think is kinda odd for a brand that usually caters to the tall and skinny of SL.

Other than Gizza, I am wearing Dekade‘s Bridget skin, Elikatira‘s Leah hair, Paper Couture‘s Golden Wings ring and G Field‘s Alex shoes.

Love Challenge

I love the mini challenge that Luna has proposed, sharing a few of the things we love on our blogs, flickrs etc. She’s right, there is so much meh going on everywhere, that it’s nice to focus on the LOVE stuff!!

  • I love my family, both RL and SL. I am blessed with the best guy, great parents, siblings, god children and cousins in both worlds. In SL, my partner Don and my god daughter Darla mean the world to me and with the rest of our crazy little family, we just have the best of fun.
  • I love mesh!!! Check the pic above, I am wearing E! Apparel‘s newest mesh dress Louisa and SLink‘s Relax boots (with Whippet & Buck‘s hot pink Cole boat neck sweater and Mon Tissu‘s Fuchsia favorite wool tights. Hair by Shag, skin by Illusory, to die for cute pose prop by What Next).
  • I love making poses and shapes. I have been in “business” since early 2009. Dove Swanson from LA was on a hiatus back then, and I missed new stuff from her, so I decided to make some my self. First under the brand name Grapevine, and later with GEEZ. I only wish I could dedicate more time to it, and that I could nail the couple poses… I just don’t seem able to get the 2 avs to work together :(
  • I love plurk! Yes, I do. I have met so many of my friends on there and while it sometimes is a drama party, mostly it’s just a great bunch of people there sharing what is going on in their lives.
  • Oh and last but not least… I love my blog. Sometimes I get fed up with it, and I feel like deleting it all, but after a day or 2 I find myself back looking at stuff to take pics of for a new entry. I’d like to thank you all for the support over the past 5 years of SL blogging and I am looking forward to much more to come.

♥, Graz

52 Weeks of Color: Alice Blue

When I saw this week’s color on Luna’s blog, I knew I was going to use some Kyoot stuff. Saeya is just awesome with the very pale pastels. So I am wearing her Soft Resolution top and socks in teal (!) and also Kyoot‘s Hollander leggings in white. With all the Kyoot stuff, I am also wearing Leezu‘s Nadja street ballerina skirt in white. To keep my feet warm with this extreme RL weather (yes, I do feel the need to wear snuggly stuffs in SL when it’s cold in RL) I picked Maitreya‘s Scrunched prim socks and their Shearling boots. The pearl necklace is from Yummy.

I am not a fan of Lana del Rey’s wannabe been-there-done-that music, or her cosmetic surgery look. Actually, the hype makes me resent anything “Lana related”, but I could not resist LaGyo‘s Lana rose crown in blue, which adds a bit of contrast to the pale blue look as well as Truth‘s Lana hair (wish he had picked another name and it would be an all time fave).

I saw Harlow Heslop plurking that she wanted a certain Asian look, and while I am not pretending to be pulling that specific one off with this skin and shape, it was fun to play the sliders to make an ethnic look for a change. Eventually I might release it, but for now, it’s work in progress. The skin is The Body Co‘s Ylang.

Jewelry & Flowers for Valentine

In a couple of days it’ll be Valentine’s Day and while with the current vendor systems a lot of shops have the possibility to send their items as a gift, nothing beats actually getting one from your Valentine instead of accepting inventory from a system. Dona Flora sells their items no copy/trans, so you can buy, put it in a fancy gift box and then at some point on your date give it to her.
All the jewelry at Donna Flora is so extremely beautiful and creative. I decided to put a few images of her flower sets in here, because jewelry and flowers are a perfect Valentine’s combination.

Ok, ok… one more item from Cold Logic, and then I’ll stop… for now… I promise. Really, I do. But this Joslin jumper is maybe my favorite part of the opening collection and it’s  wonderful to style. I chose a few pieces from Mandala Milky way collection to dress up a bit, and Epoque‘s Hibernation hair from the winter gatcha festival. The only bit of color in this look is the plum lip stick tattoo from Aura‘s Briar.

Urban Catwalk

Cold Logic has opened, and wow, I am in mesh heaven. Seriously, their collection is so me. Classic, wearable and high quality. Not that THAT is necessarily me, but I like my clothes that way :) .
I am wearing their Buckley skirt with Maitreya‘s Ava jacket and SLink‘s awesome Relax boots. The wool tights are from Mon Tissu. The lovely messy updo is Carmen, from E-motions and today’s skin is Bridget from Dekade, which just re-opened after having been part of Cheerno for over a year.

Malbec

Tomorrow Cold Logic is opening its doors and I had the pleasure to find another sample of their new collection in my inventory last night. I picked the top, Hache, to wear today because it’s such a typical example of clothing that I would be reluctant to wear in a non mesh version. Cropped sweater prims always look bad on me, and even worse when I move and the plunging neck, well, it’s just seriously difficult to achieve that with a sculpted prim. Lets not even mention the prim disappearing in your av most of the time.

I am wearing it here with Maitreya‘s leather leggings and Elikatira‘s new mesh hair Locked. The Kabuki earrings are from Mandala, the tattoo is from Inflict. Today’s skin is Briar, from Aura, which will be released soon.

Briar: out soon at Aura

It’s been a while since I did a full skin review, but Briar, the upcoming new skin from Tyr Rozenblum for Aura is certainly worth it. Briar comes in 6 skintones and a whopping 16 make ups and she’s so pretty!

About the body, I love the toned look of the torso. This girl works out! the skintones are neither ultra light, or going really dark, but still with 6 tones to chose from, it should accommodate a lot of people. Bum and breasts are nicely done, the lady parts come with a trimmed patch (default). Optional on Briar are freckles and push up effect (please, wear with bra only!!!)There are 16 make ups to chose from, some very natural and others a bit more dramatic. I can’t really pick a fave, they just all look very good. Every skin comes with 6 lipstick tattoos so you can personalise your make ups.

Pros: over all very pretty, pleasant shading of the body, great abs, and a plethora of make ups to chose from.

Cons (nah… not really, but I know you love a balanced review and there is always room for improvement): Only one eyebrow color (not matching the lady garden), nails could use a bit more work, no Brazilian wax option.

Verdict: LOVE, filed under Graz’s  ”go to” skins

52 Weeks of Color: Patina

Patina is not my main color this week, but a strong supporter of an otherwise very beige/creamish look. The moto pants and the Fur neck cardigan are from Fishy Strawberry. Fae has really been upping her game lately with awesome textures, and Fishy Strawberry has become one of those shops where I will simply ALWAYS find something I want. The Dollinger top in Celadon from Pig has this patina quality of weathered bronze. The church in the town I grew up with had a bronze, green, roof. It’s like the icon of my town, so I love this color.  I’m also wearing my new Gregoire glasses from Entente (SO ME!!!)  and MOOD‘s Ambition choker. Wasabi Pills made this adorable Clementine hair, and Lilac, from The Body Co is one of my fave skins right now, so I’m wearing it again.

Sexy Curves at Hucci: Ashli

I’m on quite a crappy mobile internet right now.. but hey… when blogging fever strikes, even crappy connection will do I only hope that the image quality on this connection, on my computer, is not what it’ll look like for you, because this is NOT my usual image quality. Gah, I hate these pixelated images I have been seeing for the past few days now. Hopefully my ISP will keep its promise and fix my connection tomorrow (5 days after calling them for support!!!… bad, bad service UPC!) or I am going to be either rage- or sadface for a long time, and possibly both at the same time.

Anyway, crap connections aside, Hucci has just released one of the smexiest mesh dresses I have seen since mesh was introduced to SL. Ashli comes both in sequined versions and satin versions, and the sapphire satin I am wearing here is just hot. Eboni  follows the standard sizing, but has added a few variations of her own for the more curvaceous among us, and damn… it works out just fine! Go demo these gorgeous dresses. I am wearing it here with N-core‘s Caprice and Wasabi Pills Magician hair in powder (with hat). The bangles are from Zaara‘s from her Nizam set and I am wearing The Body Co‘s Lilac skin.
